Modern schools seem to have some crazy ideas. Introducing young kids to CSI,Leaving them up trees et al. What is next?

I think this whole story begs the question are the children being padlocked away from the danger in the community or are they being padlocked in because THEY are a danger to the community. (I strongly suspect the latter )

It is simply called Book collector it is the same software that generated the web page in my Signature, it can do all kinds of things, get covers, prices, page numbers as well as allow to keep track of loans and make notes on books. Best software I ever bought.

Let us not also forget the mighty Flogging Molly!

I tend to retain only the very basics unless there is something that really stands out. I am considering making notes on books after I read them using the book software I have.

Not sure if its something you will consider but What I have done is had a rubber stamp made with a logo I have made and once I have read a book it gets stamped, you can have them custom made from people on ebay for about

Tremendous , I look forward to this generation looking after me in my old age.Noel Edmonds, host of Channel 4's Deal or No Deal, the answer given by 4% of children. -
Almost all webhosts/isp offer both so either way you are still open to any security holes, and as said above the email is often retained even if read via pop3/imap. I know I keep all my email, what is the point having a receipt or invoice sent that is deleted once I have read it? Unless you go to the bother of setting up your own mail server and locking it down to no webmail access and only your ip can connect, there are security issues. Also unless you set up encryption with pop3 your details are sent plainly over the internet which is less secure than using a https connection with webmail.
*edit*
Johnny - you may wish to look into thunderbird, it is a bit more secure than outlook (and looks prettier!)

It is one of the downfalls of web based email. Hackers and people who do this kind of thing just because they can, exist unfortunately.
Email packages that are installed onto your PC such as thunderbird, outlook etc are a lot safer, they can be a pain to set up but you can also set it to forward on to you emails from other your other web based email accounts.
This is not true, whether by remote client or webmail you are still connecting to the same thing, neither is any more or less secure than the other.

I feel like this several times a year, I keep a stack of books I refer to as the "slam dunk pile" for just such an occasion, generally short books or very very easy to read books that help ease the feeling of it being a chore or break up the monotony of the book i am struggling with (but I rarely give up on the difficult book).

How does one get to the stage where it's possible to ingest enough to kill oneself anyway?
The same way one gets to be able to drink 15 pints on a night out - Practice.

I watched it. I was rather irritated at the woman IDS was meant to stay with, what with her just looking at him blankly as he attempted to explain what an mp is and where the houses of parliament are. Watching ep2 later on.

Love Dexter! I actually just finished reading one of the books about 10 min ago, enjoyed the book more than the show, much darker.

I got a sony reader touch for Xmas, Love it! There are plenty of books for free (project Gutenberg, google books etc) and lots for very cheap (waterstones even allow you to search on price then genre/author etc). There are cases that have lights built in so thats not really an issue and so far it been all positive for me, I especially like the "create note" function where you can pinpoint something you highlighted instantly to re-read or refer to. Thumbs up from me
