Crikey, is this still on??? Didn't it jump the shark years ago?
+1
I am not 100% sure what it is that upset you ? That there was a dog being scared by a fire?? I am quite sure the dog was at all times safe and possibly has even been trained to be used to fire. I dont see the problem, there are scenes with people near fire all the time, what makes a dog any different? If something upsets you on tv...turn it off.

Started using Library Thing a couple of months ago now. I love seeing my own little library on the scren. A bit of a nightmare going round the house trying to get all the numbers. but i'll get there.
if you mean the ISBN number, just search amazon for your book and you can copy paste the ISBN

I currently just have a simple SQL database of books (which can be displayed in from the link in my sig) it's easy enough to keep updated and gives simple results back.

Y:The Last man Is also going to be a movie!

I'm loving Family Guy as my TV guilty pleasure, and The Life Of Brian. I love a good laugh!
Now hooked on Wispa bars, too...
bird is the word.

I enjoyed the book, I absolutely flew through it I can also see it being made into a big screen adaption. Eagerly waiting on the follow up!

but...but...pizza already has tomato sauce in it..*head explodes*

my work here is done. (I don't watch tv)That's no excuse, they're on TV nearly every week! And now I feel really old...*sniffle*... -
Ah Roland, it was all so well set up for Beef and he missed it.
My guilty pleasure would be eating chocolate and reading at the same time, preferably Maltesers. Ooh, that's just reminded me that I've bought my first Wispa today! That's not going to last long...
I too love sprouts, but I don't think I would call them a guilty pleasure!
to be fair the movie is *23* years older than I am, We were not all born early enough to see the carry on movies

I was thinking more along the lines of "Po-faced self-appointed guardians of popular taste will tell you you shouldn't enjoy them because they're sexist and racist". The innuendo is the whole point of Carry On films .
I can't help feeling you've got it in for me .....
oh. ..I thought no one liked the movies cos they are a bit..well they are all the same in a slightly different location (like a goosebumps book) racism and sexism is not a big deal, thats how things were back then, we cant change that by telling people to not like the movies. If anything they should be shown regularly to emphasis the point.
as for having it in for you, I dont know you, but if I did have it in for you, you would know, I do not do subtle. when I have something to say it gets said.

Carry On films. I know you're not supposed to, but I love 'em!
I love that, because it's true, it is almost as if they made them and said "well we don't want people to enjoy this - tone down the good and just add lots of crappy innuendo"

she can heal..that doesen't stop her aging, I think they just dont age her to keep the teen males/pervs watching. (...what?)Ooh, that was a good episode! Major revelation at the end... I can see that, they're both evil enough to be related...Absolutely hilarious bit with Parkman and the turtle! But that mysterious African guy seems to know a lot about things.
Felt sorry for poor Elle - I've always found her slightly irritating, but she finds her dad dead and then gets the sack... Not a good day at the office. It's not as if she could help blowing all the fuses at the facility - I don't suppose you have much control over things when your head is being sliced open.
Not liking Hiro not trusting Ando. I can understood why, but their friendship is one of the things I like.
Question about Claire: if she cannot die, why has she aged to the age of teenager? Will she continue ageing until she is a pensioner and then live forever? Or will she stay where she is, which doesn't make sense when she has aged 17/18 years so far. My head hurts.
Can't wait for the next episode!

Dark rum's (except black heart, its nasty)

During the first season this show had the potential to take over the number one slot in my favourite television shows, but now there's no chance of that. The whole future/present thing is kind of getting a little old. I'm not really sure how I feel about the show now. I will reserve judgement for the time being!
oh you will not like the newest episode at all...

I think it would be fantastic for school children. Robbie's bag is so heavy because of all the books he has to lug to school every day. Also I reckon Robbie would read more if it was on a 'gadget'.
Me, however I still like my books on a bookshelf!
I remember being told the same thing when our school got computers "all anyone will have to carry a year from now is a floppy disk"..still waiting.

I meant in the uk, however generally that is the case, downloading is at worst a civil offense not a criminal one.I thought I was discussing the cost of e-readers and how they could potentially harm your sales however I have to agree we could go round in circles all day. I'm relatively new here and didn't realise it had been discussed before (I should really learn to search the site more:blush:). My apologies if I annoyed you or offended you in any way, that was not my intention. I do understand your point of view and was just trying to take part in the discussion. IMHO I'm not opposed to e-readers and as I've said before I think they could be of benefit in certain circumstances. I personally would prefer a book and couldn't imagine a world without them either!.As far as I'm aware that is not the case in all countries - but I could be wrong!
-
It is not illegal to download for personal usage. it is *uploading* thats the illegal part.I do see your point Talisman about the cost to the industry but unfortunately every industry has its problems from the music business to the perfume business. If a person can go online and download music or a film for nothing illegally, whats to stop them doing the same thing with online books or even your full collection of books? We've all heard the trouble the music industry has had but it still goes on.Then not everyone can afford to buy e-readers, I know its a luxury I couldn't afford. Not everyone can even afford to buy books from new and although I understand your plight and sympathise, does that mean you disagree with libraries or bookrings for example or any other scheme to borrow or pass on your books? I would imagine it would be of greater good to you to let others read your work and create more of a fan base and perhaps increase the amount of people who would actually go out and buy your books.
But hey I'm rambling again - sorry!

I went to a restaurant in Brighton a couple of weeks ago, and at the end of the meal they gave us a plate of these, black jacks & fruit salads, to share. Luckily we still had a bit of room for them!
you would have to make room, its the law.

I think the fact the paper saving ability has not been jammed down our throats because people may be getting tired of hearing how EVERYTHING is going to end the world, I know I am.

black jacks!! I remember those, they used to come with..fruit salad's I think they were called? they were both awesome!

you turned it off, move on. complaining wont take back what happened. As much as I complain when I dont like something, people these days care more about animals than people..
