  2. No unfortunately. Although strangely I have recently gone off tomatoes. I think my body is trying to tell me something. Good about Philip and Helen. Philip did ring me last night and told me. Just shows they are cleverer than they think. Modesty is good. Hope you are ok, no problems? You were great on Sat/Sun very professional and reassuring.

  3. I am sure we would have great fun arguing with each other Michelle, yes I agree with you, the young lady of 12 years was a very good singer (I sang on the stage myself at that tender age and went in for talent contests too). Although I think the violinists could play well, I prefer my violinists not to be pop artists. Another good contestant was the young boy singer. But that's what I mean you see - the boy who won it was total rubbish and so were all the rest and proves the type of people who are voting are empty headed idiots. Again just my opinion.
  4. Havent read it yet , but will when I do
  5. Hi Paula. Neck is much better now. I drove for the first time today, no problems. Also went to my painting class and was ok there too. Got choir tonight

  6. Thanks V, you are so kind. I enjoyed yours as well.

  7. Good isnt it?

  8. Based onwhat I saw on Saturday while at H&D's (I wouldnt bother otherwise) Britain has got NO talent whatsoever and the people who voted have no taste and no idea what real music is. Just my opinion so dont go throwing bottles at me.
  9. Are you a policeman?

  10. How could I have forgotten your birthday, happy belated, hope you had a great one.

  11. That looks like a good site Michelle:D
  12. I finished Mansfield Park yesterday, my review is elsewhere. In the end I loved it. I really admired Fanny Price and the way she was able to see through people, but was able to keep her mouth shut. This ability came in useful when dealing with Mrs Norris, odious creature, who got her come uppance in the end. I was pleased that Sir Thomas saw through her. Other characters I liked were Susan, Fanny's sister, who although only coming into the story at the end, showed that she was developing in the same way as Fanny. I also like Lady Bertram, who was rather sweet, although lazy, but I suspected she knew more than she let on. I particularly liked her for her partiality to Fanny even though she "used" her a lot. I liked Sir Thomas for his strength of character and his recognition of Fanny's beauty and intelligence. I think it is a pity that Edmund was not more like his father, even though he saw through Mary Crawford in the end. I think Fanny could have done better. I have now moved on to a Bookring book sent to me by Inver After You'd Gone by Maggie O'Farrell. A very different read, but I am getting into it and I think I am going to enjoy it.
  13. Its a lot better thanks, still having warm compresses and your scarf around it. Get more movement without the "ow". I am exercising it regularly as well. Philip seemed happy with his exam didnt he?

  14. Mansfield Park Here is my review of this book, which I finished today. Mansfield Park I found it hard to get into this story at first. I think this was because the prose was heavy with little real interaction between the subjects of the story. However once I got further on, I got more involved and JA

  20. Well I will NOT be watching this rubbish. I seriously believe its just a gravy train for Davinia McCall. I cant stand her either. I really dont understand why people watch this nauseating programme.
  21. I loved the fantasy of The Lord Of the Rings. I was also fascinated by the author's imagination. I also love descriptions of beautiful or dangerous scenery, it paints a picture for me. When I read LOTR, I hadnt heard of the Hobbit, so it took me a little while to realise they were all "little" people. Wonderful book
