Hello Nici, how are you. Well done to Robbie for doing the lawn. Hope your mum is not feeling too bad.

I hope you had a nice holiday Papillon, did you go somewhere nice? Yes I love labradors, my last one died in 1995. I have had 2 and I remember them both quite clearly, one was called Brett and the second one was Luke. They were both adorable and had real characters.

I love the picture of that pigeon. In real life she had this iridiscent feathering under the white feathers on her breast. I am going to try and paint her I think. Havent heard yet whether she arrived back home safely.

Happy Birthday Druscilla, hope you are having a good one. If you are in the UK, the sun is shining on your day!

I have just been reading the thread on "are reviews worth it any more" or something like that. These people scare me to death. I almost feel as if they are taking over this Forum. I dont think I will be posting any more reviews and risk them pulling it to pieces.
Re Maggie O'Farrell's books, I will definitely be keeping an eye out for them. No doubt Paula has a few, so I can borrow from her lol. I have written to Welshman by the way.

Did that come after "After You'd Gone"? I think she is a wonderful writer. I am nearing the end now and thinking about what I will say in a review, which I always find a bit difficult.

Sad to say, I no longer have a dog let alone a labrador:irked:. My last one went to the labrador heaven in 1995. I have had 2 labbies in my time and broke my heart when they had to go. The one in the photo is not mine just a photo I found that I liked. Mine were both yellow(golden). Have you read the book Marley and Me? If not please give it a go, you will recognise your dog in it I am sure and it will of course make you cry. If I did get another dog, it would have to be a small dog because at 72, I dont think I would have the strength to handle a labbie. I never pass one in the street, I always make a great fuss of them and labbie owners are the same the world over. I support Dog for the Blind in this country, particularly because my last labbie Luke, was bred from those dogs. Give your dog a hug for me . All the best
