Still doesn't work...It says..."The uploader hasn't made this video available in your Country".
Sorry, was looking forward to listening to it. Good harmonica music is nice.

Just re-watching this from our last night's programme. I just LOVE this guy, I don't think I've ever seen anyone put more emotion into playing the harmonica.

The attachment isn't available in the U.S.
my favorite with the harmonica is Sonny Terry. Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee are legendary bluesmen no longer with us. I have several of their CD's and am a great fan of theirs. Of course, you have to like Blues music to appreciate their talents.

Funny you should say that!!
Mine is shocking at the moment....I really need a new one. If you open the door it loses all it's heat and then takes eons to heat up again. I've really GOT to get a new one by Christmas, we've got up to twenty-five people here for dinner and there is no way I'd get it cooked in time, the way it is. The other day I put on a roast and it never got up to temperature the whole time
sorry to hear that. And, I am also sorry to hear about not getting the corn muffin mix. It really is very good. anyhow, the recipe is pretty good if you can find a way to make the dish.

Neither have I.
Never have I ever posted a recipe that wasn't really good.

lol. That would be all very well if we could buy Corn Muffin mix!! We don't have the pre-packaged baking mixes here like you do and the ones we can buy certainly aren't the same quality as yours. My sister-in-law brought some back from the US one time and they were absolutely delicious. We have to do things from scratch
Our flour isn't that great either, we use our own wheat and I don't think it's as good as wheat grown in hotter climates.
Your ovens probably don't heat either.

Haven't tried that one Muggles. My attempt at corn bread wasn't very successful. I might not have been using the right cornmeal. it ended up quite dry. Cornmeal is very expensive here and not used extensively in our cooking.
Don't blame me or the type cornmeal you used if you over cooked the cornbread and it turned out dry.
I have another recipe that I will post that I guarantee everyone will like.......scalloped (baked) corn. Remember how I promised the movie...Oh Brother, Where Art thou.....this is the same type promise.

We drove down to New Orleans, but then across the Ms. River to Algiers Point. It is about a 130 mile round trip. We went the Bridge route, IOW, the Causeway Bridge (as always to N.O., but then drove through N.O. to cross the Ms. River at the Crescent City Connection. Through a bunch of ever decreasing in size streets to Algiers Point. It's the highest point on the "West Bank" of the river. I put west in quotes, because it is actually south of the river, but is the general west bank. heh Since Algiers Point is directly across from the French Quarter, we decided not to retrace out steps, and took the Algiers Ferry.
All of this for a not so hot Estate Sale.
But it was a great ride, and I'd never been to AP before. In fact, I've hardly ever been to the West Bank......it's like another world over there, and the natives don't mix well. lol Of course we stopped off for lunch and a bit of shopping.....
Have you ever been to New Orleans, muggle?
No, but I would love to make the trip and visit. My wife isn't keen on N.O type food. I did make a trip to Morgan City (business) many, many years ago when we were living in Beaumont, TX and have visited Shreveport, Baton Rouge, etc.
I went to an oil show once long ago in Baton Rouge that featured Red Adair.

Thanks, I went to the chiropractor yesterday, and kept ice on my back the whole time driving/riding yesterday. The ice makes a huge difference. Cuts the inflammation, thus the pain.
Where did you go , was it a fairly long trip.
You were right though on losing weight. Calories and exercise is what counts. Diets are ok but in the long run it is calories and exercise.

Hello everyone, I'm Marie. 40something, living in semi-rural Shropshire.
I love reading, as I'm sure most of the members do, that's why we are here!
I mostly read fiction, especially speculative fiction with a hint of magical realism, but I am also interested in non-fiction - art, philosophy and psychology, at the moment.
I am trying to expand my library into The World Outside of British Literature. I am a huge fan of Gabriel García Márquez and Isabel Allende, and now I want to find more great novels, both old and new, by international authors. Camus, Kafka and Zola are the style I enjoy, but I don't seem to have many female international authors.
Anyone have any recommendations?
Great to see another fan of Isabel Allende. I attended a lecture/question and answer program that Isabel gave at the University of Virginia many years ago. She was interesting and told some really funny stories. Welcome aboard.

Chrissy - that was very nice of you to take the elderly lady to lunch. Many people forget that the elderly were once young and saw things that we can hardly believe nowadays. Most people don't want to talk with the elderly. Kudos to you.
