  1. Hi - I'm fine. 9 glorious days off now!! Hope you are ok

  2. i love the challenge of big projects Last year I made this one for Tiger When DH and I got married (16 yrs ago) I made this one Each one took about a year as I work full time, in between my other sewing and knitting projects, not to mention reading!
  3. Have you tried one of the floor / table standing frames? I personally don't like them but they would help some people
  4. I tend to stitch during the daytime then as soon as the light starts to change flip over to reading I don't think I've ever been without a cross-stitch and embroidery project on the go for at least 30 yrs. That's without the knitting, dressmaking .............I can't bear the thoughts of sitting still whilst doing nothing

  8. Hello and welcome ! Hope you enjoy it here and be prepared to have your reading horizons broadened!!!. This one is on mount to be read soon (ish) after I've cleared the pile of library books. I have heard nothing but good reviews so I think that it would be worth the perseverence. Ben - enjoy! Now moving onto Adele Parks - Larger than life
  9. I love doing that kind of thing. I am fortunate to also have an embroidery / sewing machine and I have also made alot of presents on that. I think that people much prefer presents that have had some thought and love put into them
  10. I love that one and eventually I want to get the matching one of a little boy playing with a crab as my son was always (and still does) poke around on the beach Now I really should not have looked at that website in more detail!!! I have just been looking at the embroidery tablecloths...........................!! (Have to wait for payday next week!)
  11. That's another great site. I have recently picked up this one http://www.sewandso.co.uk/cgi-bin/find/db.cgi?db=zoom&uid=&Prod_Code=11707&ww=on&do=search_results It reminds me of Tiger as a toddler on the beach!
  12. I hated this book - it is one of the very rare books that I have abandoned. It just droned on and on...........
  13. Fantastic!! The links have great photos
  14. That drives me insane when people are writing in the wrong language!! It is the English language and too much Americanism has crept into our spelling (no insult to our fellow Americans here, at all). So many other languages are based on / devolved from the English languange and I find it soul destroying that ours is being altered like this Why does the spellchecker default to the American language I wonder? Is it because Microsoft Word is an American concept?.
  15. Hope you enjoy her!
