Well, the last part of my year was terrible - after being so good about keeping records, I got completely behind, and am likely to miss some out! Tell Tale was rather good - there's a review on the forum and blog, plus an interview with Sam on our BCF blog. The Brutal Telling I had trouble getting into, so I gave up - maybe later. I also finally finished Underwater by Elizabeth Diamond, which I shall be reviewing soon. I started King's Under The Dome, but I don't think I'm really in the mood for it right now, so will probably come back to it later. I shall move onto a new 2010 blog, and pop back here if I remember anything from last year!

It is horrible when the triptan doesn't work - I'm so grateful it does most of the time. I also find that the ones I wake with tend to be the worse.

Jules. I know I've probably asked you this before, but have you tried taking a preventative or a triptan? The latter are my saviours, most of the time.

I've decided not to start questioning or criticising certain parts of it, but to simply enjoy it for what it was.. a goodbye to David. It wasn't the best ever, but neither was it awful. As for Steven Moffat taking over, as much as I enjoyed his episodes, they do have a tendency to be quite scary and complex. Whilst that might be good for older viewers, it could also alienate some children. Bethany is already worried that she won't understand fully, or find it too scary. It is meant to be a family show, so I hope he finds a balance.

Yep, the story had it's faults, but the second half was definitely better.. and it was rather emotional to see him go. Trying to be positive, I think Matt Smith did a good job with his first few moments.

I don't see that there was really much point - I can't say that I heard the RATM song once on the radio, and yet Joe has had lots of airtime. (I'll be hated now, but I don't even think it's a good song! ) -
Can I please draw your attention to the following in the guidelines...
Whilst we're happy for people to have a link to their own book blogs in their signatures, can I please ask that when discussing a book on the forum, can you include your thoughts here, instead of simply directing people to a review on your own blog.
The aim of the forum is to promote discussion, and that isn't going to happen if people are encouraged to visit book blogs, and leave comments there instead.

RATM Vs. X Factor for Christmas Number One 2009

You're all missing something though.. the X Factor single doesn't make it to the Christmas No 1 just because it exists, it's there because people are making a choice, and buying it. Do we actually have any good Christmas songs trying to fight for No 1, or have the record companies give up? If so, they only have themselves to blame. -

Unfortunately I've not done much reading recently, so I haven't gotten very far. I'm looking forward to getting back to it at some point though.

I intend to approach this the same as I do most adaptations.. as a completely different entity. I don't expect a faithful copy of the book, or the original series.. I will try to enjoy it in it's won right.. then I won't be disappointed.
