The Road - the best realistic post-apocalyptic film I've seen, very grim but excellent film.

For the read-a-thon, I'll start chipping away at a couple in my TBR mound; either Margaret Atwood's Lady Oracle or Barbara Trapido's The Travelling Hornplayer (just picked up the first two at random).

Wheeeeeeeeeee! .... ........but still a year to go....... .... ... ....

I plan to be in the Dec read-a-thon this coming weekend. I will be 'in training' tomorrow and Wednesday (as on both days we are having triple glazing fitted *groan*). So I will have time on my hand to do some serious reading then, and during the weekend too.

Well, my attempts to chip away at my TBR's have been just abysmal this year, so far . I think I have to seriously think about not buying any books AT ALL in 2015..... .... . In fact, I should start on this quest today!

Yeah, most of the books made me go ...."huh?" Like Athena said, The Shock of the Fall was excellent, and The Love Song Of Miss Queenie Hennessy by Rachel Joyce and The Miniaturist by Jessie Burton is on my local library's waiting lists at the moment. Plus a handful of other books on my TBR list.
