  1. I really liked Home too. The last film I watched was Star Trek: First Contact, which I thought was quite enjoyable. I can't watch films as often as I'd like, but I'm going to try to rest and take it easy for some of today so I can hopefully watch another film tonight (as of yet undecided which one).
  2. We're continuing to watch Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and are now in the beginning of season 4. I sometimes wish I had more energy to watch more TV (show episodes), but things are as they are.
  3. Welcome here ! Good to meet another fan of paperback books, they are my favourite format of book to read too. I hope you like the forum.
  4. I enjoyed them, yes . I got the first two on my Kindle and the third as a paperback QuickReads book. I enjoyed spending more time with the characters and seeing more of their lives and futures.
  5. Wow, that's a LOT of Jodi Picoult books in one month! I couldn't do that, I need a break from an author's style after a while. But I'm happy you loved all of the books so far. I haven't read Salem Falls but I read the other ones you mention, and I liked them all (though not to the same extent).
  6. Love and First Sight by Josh Sundquist (just received this book in the post a few days ago, I'm excited to read it).
  7. Sorry to hear you had a bad run. I think I remember it was I think in two Young-Adult books, but which ones exactly.. I'll have to take a look at my shelves and browse the books (got a couple of books in mind). It was not the main part of the story, but it was part of the main character and I enjoyed reading about it. Buy more books and go to the library more often again ? I'd hate to run out of reading material too, so your worry makes sense to me . I'm glad you enjoyed Misery, nice review .
  8. I'm currently reading This Charming Man by Marian Keyes.
  9. I really liked The Beach Café too, glad you liked it Diane . I've not read any other Lucy Diamond novels yet (I do plan to do that some time), but I did read the novellas that follow the characters in The Beach Café (Christmas at the Beach Café, Christmas Gifts at the Beach Café, and A Baby at the Beach Café).
  10. I wish you a great 2018, Andrea !
  11. I read Pam van der Veen and Albert Wiglema - Wonderjaren. I recently came across this book and bought it on a whim after reading the sample. This is a Dutch book that talks about the technology in the 1980s and 1990s and how it changed the way a lot of us (in the Netherlands) live our lives. It features quotes from people too and articles. I quite liked this book. It was nice to feel nostalgic for older times.
  12. Thanks, Diane !
  13. I wish you a great year in 2018 .
  14. Please do . I still make that mistake too on occasion .
  15. I haven't read a Nicholas Sparks book in a long time. I do own a couple that I haven't read yet, though I hadn't heard of Two by Two. I'm glad you enjoyed it though it's a shame you didn't enjoy it as much as some of his other books have.
  16. I'm glad you're doing allright . I'd love to see some pages! I find it inspiring to see other people's bullet journals and doodles. I'm glad to hear that you're feeling a bit better and that you had a nice catch-up with your friend . I hope you have a nice time sewing and reading . Today we're celebrating my mum's birthday, so today is pretty busy with visitors. I'm enjoying seeing my family again. Tomorrow should be quieter, I'm hoping to do a bit of reading then.
  17. I got mine too . I hope you enjoy both books !
  18. Thanks, Alexander ! Thanks, Karen ! I don't plan to stop posting any time soon .
  19. Wow, such a positive review! I'm glad you liked the book . I plan to read the book some day, though I think it is the sort of read for which I'll have to be in the right mood to fully enjoy it.
  20. It's been somewhat cold and grey for more than a month here, with sometimes some rain, hail or wind. I hope we'll see the sun more often in the spring. Apparently this past December was the 'greyest' December ever recorded here (most hours with completely overcast sky).
