I hope you have a lovely Christmas too, Frankie ! So far it's pretty similar to last year, but I've been thinking about adding some things that I've been working on . I look forward to see yours when you make it after the holidays . I hope you have a lovely time and very happy holidays !!

We've now got almost all of our Christmas shopping. The next few days will be relatively tiring, but it should be fun to spend some time with family eating nice food. My boyfriend's birthday is on the 25th, so on Monday we celebrate his birthday with presents, cake, and some great food (gourmetten!). On the 24th and the 25th we'll be busy with preparations. On the 26th my extended family will be coming to celebrate Christmas with us all. We'll be with 10 people in total and we'll be having the yearly ~8-course dinner with little dishes. I hope everyone has a great time !

It'll be 2018 soon, so here is the schedule for the read-a-thons in 2018 . General rule: The read-a-thons take place on the first time that a consecutive Friday, Saturday and Sunday all fall in the same month. I read Chrissie Manby - Proper Family 4.6: Top of the Naughty List. I found out about this novella yesterday and immediately wanted to read it, so I bought it (it's an e-book only novella as far as I know) and read it. It's part of the Proper Family series. It didn't take me too long to remember who was who. I really enjoyed reading this Christmassy novella. It's no great literature, but I found it enjoyable and it just fit my mood.

My reading goals and reading plans for 2018 I usually write out a lot of reading goals and reading plans for each year, but this time I didn't quite feel in the mood for that. So I'm going to keep this short and simple. In 2018 I would like to read some great books, but I'm not going to go for a specific number of books or pages (though I probably will once I see how close I get to certain amounts). I've had some moments in 2017 where I was in a reading slump / had low mojo for a while. At the moment I haven't read a book in 10 days. Anyway, I would like to continue to read a variety of genres for a variety of age ranges. I would like to try to participate in all the read-a-thons, if possible (I might have to skip on one or two because the dates don't work for me), but hopefully without putting too much pressure on myself. I'm going to try to not buy too many books and not spend too much money on books, but let's be honest, I know myself. I'll just do what I can and try, though.
