  1. Waiting for reviews is not a bad thing to do . I own the first two books but will probably wait with purchasing any more until I've read at least book 1, except if I find ie. book 3 on a deal / on sale somewhere some time. Goodreads lists the new book as 'All Souls Universe 1'. I wonder how it's related to the other three books, but I don't want to read the synopsis in case it spoils the first 3 books.
  2. Good luck Andrea!! I wish you a great reading year in 2018 .
  3. It's pretty amazing when a book can do that. I have the book on my TBR. I hope you have fun . I started reading Francesca Zappia - Made You Up (YA contemporary about a teenage girl who is sometimes having delusions) and Daniel Levitin - A Field Guide to Lies and Statistics (non-fiction).
  4. Good to know ! I've added Strange Weather in Tokyo to my wishlist! Oh whoops, sorry my bad! I hope you enjoy the TV movies! I didn't know those were released on DVD, that's good news. I have a backlog too, of books and video . I hope season 2 comes out soon! Sorry to tell you of the bad news . There is still the hope that someone else will pick it back up, but I don't know if that will happen. Goodbye Tsugumi and Lizard are both not available from the Dutch website, but I added a few other Banana Yoshimoto books to my wishlist (that are available). I hope you enjoy Tolstoy and the Purple Chair when it gets there ! I hope you like all of your books . I'm still waiting for a few of mine too.
  5. Good looking cover! I hadn't heard of this book. I really liked The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time but I haven't tried any of the author's other works. I hope you like the poetry collection !
  6. Good luck !! After the read-a-thon last weekend I haven't found myself in the mood to read anymore. I have to start a new book, will probably look at my shelves later and see what I feel like reading / what grabs me. It's okay to go a day or two without reading too, anyway . Sometimes it's nice to take a bit of a break.
  7. Yay for more books ! And I hope you enjoy the Shannara Chronicles too. I haven't watched it yet (but I did hear that the show may not be continuing on ). I'll be interested to hear what you think of the Banana Yoshimoto books, as I've read two of his novellas and liked them. I have thought about buying some of his novels, but haven't yet done so (not all are available here I think). I also like the cover of The Nakano Thrift Shop, I know nothing of the book but looked it up and it sounds good! I look forward to hear your thoughts on it. And hey I see Banana Cream Pie Murder, a nice cover too. I hope you enjoy the Gilmore Girls book, I should still see more of that show. I hope you enjoy all of your books and also the TV show !

  9. I watched the film version many years ago on tv and while I did make it to the end, I wasn't impressed with it at all and I don't remember much of it nowadays. Shame the book wasn't that enjoyable for you, Ian.
