I hope you and Coran feel better soon . It's nice you have that holiday to look forward to! My sister and I talked for a while on the phone this morning, it was nice catching up and talking with her for a while .

The 1,000-Year-Old Boy by Ross Welford (feel free to see 1000, Year, and Old as separate words).

During the past week, I read two books: Francesca Zappia - Made You Up This is a YA contemporary novel about a teenage girl with paranoid schizofrenia (so it's an unreliable narrator as she can't tell what's real and what's not). I thought it was a nice read. There was one great twist I didn't see coming. I liked the characters in the novel, for the most part (my favourite was Miles). I thought a couple of things could have been better. This is the author's debut novel, and I'm looking forward to read her second novel (which has received a lot of praise) in a while (I might wait for the paperback release or I might decide to get the hardcover). Daniel Levitin - A Field Guide to Lies and Statistics This is an information book about statistics and critical thinking. I thought it was quite interesting, I learned some things. It was also nice that the author explained a lot of examples and while the subject matter might seem like it's a dry and boring read, I didn't find that to be the case at all. It was really interesting and nicely written.

We had lots of hail here too yesterday . Today they predicted more rain and hail (and code yellow), but at the moment it's actually sunny .

Great review of Jane Eyre! A long review too . I really liked it when I read it the first time, but I find I don't like lots of description as much as I used to. So I don't think I'd like the novel as much, if I were to re-read it now.

That sounds like a useful app to have! I saw the monkey on FaceBook (and IG), it looks so good . Such a great gift, too!

I'm glad you liked this book . I might read it some day. It's great the journey itself didn't feel too dated, despite the book being written so long ago.

We had some issues with emoticons when we upgraded the forum. I have no idea though why they have changed like that! That's kind of weird.

I hope you will feel better soon ! So far I'm liking both books I'm reading, Made You Up and A Field Guide to Lies and Statistics. I'm about a quarter into both of them.

Good luck Talisman, I hope they will pick the one you are happy with . I have a phone appointment today with my psychiatrist, so will be spending the afternoon not far from the phone. It'll be the weekend in two days, we're having dinner with my parents on Saturday so I look forward to that.
