Chrissy Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 The latest Star Trek movie. What did you think of it? I watched it recently and really enjoyed it.
Dimitra Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Billy Elliot, which I had watched before but in parts, this time as a whole and My Left Foot, which blew me away.
Kylie Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 I watched The Long, Long Trailer with Doris Day and Heathers with Winona Ryder.

Raven Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Pom Poko There is something very wrong about cartoon racoons with testicles . . . Otherwise, an interesting piece of satire, I will need to watch this again some time when I'm a little more awake.
Karsa Orlong Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Had a look at Avatar on blu-ray. It still looks stunning without the 3-D, but it's also still just a very average film underneath all the shininess.
WendyWoo Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Had a look at Avatar on blu-ray. . i thought Avatar was the most amazing film ever! i managed to cram it into my morning before work yesterday lol
ned Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 I watched Deadliest Catch, series 1 - episodes 1 and 2. I'm so addicted to this show that i actually bought the DVD's
Stephanie2008 Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 I'm on the third episode of season one of Shameless I only started watching from the newest series on Channel 4 so have some catching up to do
frankie Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 (edited) I've watched two movies recently: Smiley Face (with a lot of great actors, like Anna Faris, that woman from Happy Days, and John Krasinski!!) which was really great and hilarious in it's own way and Zombieland which was surprisingly good. I loved Woody Harrelson in that movie And Jesse Eisenberg's really cute as well, I've seen him somewhere before... Great movies, the both of them! Edit: Where on Earth have I seen him?? I looked his imdb data and don't think I've seen any of the films he has been in, and can't remember watching Get Real either? Edited May 1, 2010 by frankie
Chrissy Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Avatar. Oh dear, I think perhaps I should have seen it at the cinema. Pretty colours, great graphics, cliched story with stereotypical characters.
Peacefield Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 And Jesse Eisenberg's really cute as well, I've seen him somewhere before... Edit: Where on Earth have I seen him?? I looked his imdb data and don't think I've seen any of the films he has been in, and can't remember watching Get Real either? He was in Adventureland, Frankie, have you seen that? I've wanted to but never got around to it. I saw him in The Squid and the Whale which was an annoying movie, but he was good in it. Last night after the game I watched Disaster Zone: Volcano in New York with a bunch of my friends and oh man it was horrible! We were laughing so hard at the bad special effects and the whole concept of a volcano underneath NY in all the old aquaducts. There were a couple actors I recognised in it and that was just sad to see how desperate they must've been to do a film like that.

I saw him in The Squid and the Whale which was an annoying movie, but he was good in it. Nope, I don't think I have. Maybe I've seen the series Get Real but just don't remember it because it was such a long time ago.
iamnotreal Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 The last DVD I watched was Dorian Gray. I liked it, but I didn't quite understand the ending, so now I'm reading the book. Maybe then it'll make sense.
Coffin Nail Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 My son bought me a box set of The Thick of It for no good reason. This parenting lark just started to pay off good style:mrgreen: Full on Malcolm Tucker mode in election week. If Malcolm was running the show, you can bet Gordon would have turned his radio mic off in Rochdale.
vodkafan Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Last night we watched two horrid pieces of filmmaking, '2012' and 'Ice Twisters.' O yeah peace, 2012 was awful wasn't it. Last week I finally watched Avatar and The Hurt Locker. THL was a bit boring I found. Avatar was the plot of Pocahontos transposed into space. But I liked all the hardware and special effects and Michelle Rodriguez of course.
Coffin Nail Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Hey coffin nail I like your avatar. Ripley rocks! Thanks VF. She does indeed.
