YAY! :clapping:

I'm too scared to look at my number for July. I know it won't be pretty. :(

Thanks for the YAY :D and don't worry, your mojo will be coming back! I myself really don't know how I've managed to read that much last month and I just hope that my mojo stays this way ( no jinxing please :lurker: )

:yahoo:

Your reading-list ist just plain intimidating :out::lol: I have no idea how you manage to read that amount of books. Quite awesome! I'm sure there are some books that would interest me too, but I don't have a kindle and I'm not planning to get one in the soon future. I'm not convinced yet. Especially as amazon germany is quite more expensive with the kindle itself and with the ebooks.

S. G. Browne > Anonyme Untote (Breathers)

synopsis from amazon

Meet Andy Warner, a recently deceased everyman and newly minted zombie. Resented by his parents, abandoned by his friends, and reviled by a society that no longer considers him human, Andy is having a bit of trouble adjusting to his new existence. But all that changes when he goes to an Undead Anonymous meeting and finds kindred souls in Rita, an impossibly sexy recent suicide with a taste for the formaldehyde in cosmetic products, and Jerry, a twenty-one-year-old car-crash victim with an exposed brain and a penchant for Renaissance pornography. When the group meets a rogue zombie who teaches them the joys of human flesh, things start to get messy, and Andy embarks on a journey of self-discovery that will take him from his casket to the SPCA to a media-driven class-action lawsuit on behalf of the rights of zombies everywhere.

my thoughts

A very funny read, that will make you sympathise with the Zombies, even though they're (hm well) Zombies. It's an easy read with quite short chapters, so you can always read one more.

Rating: 4/5

Hey Frankie, how are you? You're right, he's definately a keeper  and the good thing is, he buys even more books for himself than I buy for myself and he likes to get one (or two, or three) for me too when he's out bookshopping

Bloody hell, I might have to come to Germany to find me a good boyfriend  My German is not very good, but Ich will Bücher haben, Sie müss mich viele kaufen  Or something of the sort!

I got The Slap at Waterstone's because I've read about it on the forum and they had a sticker on it, that said if you spent over 20 pounds, you get this book for only 0,99. I just couldn't resist  I might take me a while to start reading it, as it's not high up my priority list.

Poor book, seems like nobody wants to buy it on it's own :(

 Don't know if that's a german thing, though. I bet there's a finnish man like that too. And that sentence is good to know  Though it would be "müssen mir" not "müss mich". That would make you german 100% better than my finnish, as I don't know a single word

It's just not my usual read, sometimes I like to stroll out of my reading-comfort-zone and that's when I would read a book like this. But there is this "sometimes" and not "often", that's why it's not so high up in my priority list.

My reading activity so far for this month:

August

44. S. G. Browne > Anonyme Untote (Breathers) 4/5

45. Gemma Malley > The Declaration 3/5

46. Lisa McMann > Wake (Wake) 2/5

47. April Henry > Breakout (Schock Point) 2/5

48. Alden Bell > Nach dem Ende (The Reapers are the Angels) 4/5

the last couple of weeks my mojo deserted me, I'm still wading slowly through State of Mind by John Katzenbach, which I started on the 11th :irked:

I have decided to try and answer those book-questions this month. Here we go...

Day 01 – Best book you read last year

This would be any of the three Millennium-trilogy-books by Stieg Larsson. As I loved all three, I simply couldn not decide which one's the best.

Day 05 – A book that makes you happy

I guess that would be The Giggler Treatment by Roddy Doyle because it's just so hilarious! :D

Day 06 – A book that makes you sad

there are only a few books that made me almost shed a tear, the only ones that come to my mind are New Moon by Stephenie Meyer and Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins.

Lovely bf surprised me with new books yesterday:

Chris D'Lacey > Firestar

Chris D'Lacey > The Fire Eternal

Chris D'Lacey > Dark Fire

Chris D'Lacey > Fire World

I was looking toward his bookcase and there were books with light reflecting spines where there weren't any before. So I asked him what books they were and where they stood before ( I couldn't read the spines because of the reflection), as he his rearranging his bookcase. He just said that I should just have a look if I wanted to know. And there they were, the rest of the Last Dragon Chronicles. The books found a new home in my bookcase right away :D I am so happy :D:wub:

Oh my, my Mojo has left me in the past couple of months. I've only read 3 books in September and only 3 books in October so far. :(

The mojo is coming back slowly though and I hope it will stay for a long while! :)

At the beginning of the month I started a new Job at the public library, which is really great! :D And I'm getting bigger eyes every day, all those books I'd like to read ... :)
