I'm trying to finish the To-Do List by Mike Gayle.

What's that like? I've read all of Gayle's novels, but this is him being Mike Gayle, isn't it?

In other news, I finally got my first book on the board for 2010: Wild Sheep Chase, by Haruki Murakami.

Utterly captivating, intriguing and heart breaking, all at the same time - how does he do it?!

I think I want to have the man's children.

Started A Spot of Bother by Mark Haddon last night, so far it's really great and a lot of fun! I'm quite digging this Haddon guy's style, he can sure write!

I love it, Catwoman, and I'm not even halfway through yet. I can't wait to find out what happens. A question or two: is the second book a completely different mystery but with some of the same characters (Mikael, Lisbeth)? Are the Vangers in the first book?

The Vagners are mentioned and one still pops up every now and then, but really it is mainly about Lisabeth, for me better than the first, I have the third one waiting for me after I finish the book I am reading.

I'm still loving Wicked. I'm about halfway through now. It is SO good and I wish I could just sit and read it all in one go but sadly I can't :) I'm excited by this author though

My friends sister lent me this book and by the blurb looks awesome, she says it was her favourite book of the year!

I have read exactly 2 pages in the last two days, what the hell??? :D

With you on that, I have NO mojo, it has complete dissapeared, I am reading Val Mc Dermid and it is not the book, as the book seems good, just not in the mood for anything at the moment.

There seem to be a few a'wandering mojos around at the moment, mine included.

Linwood Barclay's 'Too Close To Home' arrived in the post today. I may catch my mojo with it (fingers crossed!).

Shall be on a few buses today so hopefully I can progress with Alphabet of Thorn; the past week's been mayhem and no reading whatsoever has been achieved :D.

Reading The Pursuit of History again at the moment but going to start listening to The Adventures of Tom Sawyer soon

I've been tucked up in bed with a cold and the first four books of Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse books :D I've read them before but they're just as good as the first time.

I hope so, it's a great read :D

In the absence of my third Coldfire book which my brother is reading, I decided to try reading Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell last night when I couldn't sleep. Only twenty pages in but so far I LOVE the style.

Yet another book on my TBR shelf that I hope to get to this year, Noll. I hope you enjoy it!

I read just a bit more of The Lady and the Unicorn last night but then the Mentalist came on TV and I was lost forever once Simon Baker walked on the scene :D.

I read this book a while ago and found it really enjoyable, if I didn't have so many books on my TBR pile I think I would find it out and re-read it.

Same here, it's not the book at all, it is actually pretty good, like you say just not in the mood

I hope your mojo sees sense and comes a'wandering home soon! That seems to have been quite a while :D

Chrissy, I hope you enjoy Too Close to Home as much as I did! I hope your mojo returns at the same time as well.

Went to a bookshop sale and a secondhand bookshop today and got me these:

Sean Stewart: Perfect Circle

Terry Pratchett: Guards! Guards!

Stephen King: Misery

Karen Harper: Shaker Run

Ian Fleming: Casino Royale (:console: Kylie, if you ever feel like it, we could do a mini groupreading on this )

That was a good haul Frankie :console:

I'm switching in between the To-Do List by Mike Gayle and Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult. I'm really enjoying Change of Heart so I'll probably finish that tonight

I finished Wicked last night. I don't think I can put into words how GOOD this book is. It is a brilliant work of fantasy but it is also so much more than that! I'll certainly read it again.

I started reading the sequel last night Son of a Witch too and that is really good so far :console:

I have spent the last 3 hours reading Salem Falls- Jodi Picoult, and wow, Im impressed. Theres so many twists and turns Im just dying to see how it all ends up. Its a shame I have to go to work tonight, I'm sure I'll be reading into the early hours. A book hasn't been this gripping for quite a while!

I read this last year on my third attempt at reading it and I loved it. It's probably one of my favourite books of hers.

Today I bought:

Bloodstream - Tess Gerritsen

Call After Midnight - Tess Gerritsen

Wild Designs - Katie Fforde

Haven't done any reading after finishing Girl Missing - Tess Gerritsen last night, I have too many books to choose from :console:.

I've read the first 50 or so pages of The Children's Book by A S Byatt - so far, so good. I just wish I had more reading time as I want to get stuck in!

I bought Sacred Hearts by Sarah Dunant today - it's my March bookworms book. It's more 'historical' than I'd normally read (it's set in 1570) and I've not read anything by this author, so it's very much uncharted territory!
