I think it's just that there seem to be a lot of Scottish members. Nope, Supergran - Michelle started the forum and she's in Kent - very much South of the Border.

My district manager told me I worked too hard and needed to get a hobby!! I decided on a book club as I love reading but i wasn't brave enough to go out to the real world and discover one, so i Googled it!! There's plenty out there but when reading through this one, it seemed so friendly and had a sense of community about it. So I'm still here and I still work too hard!!

I found this site while looking through a links thread at Have a Hoot: Read a Book, another online book forum. Love it there and love it here. Tried a different one based out of the US the first time around, but the admin people seem to have abandoned it now and it is seriously infested with spammers.

I put book forums into yahoo search and this site was the first i went into. I checked it out, liked what i saw and joined up straight away!

I googled a search for Dennis Wheatley, and amongst the search results was BCF, I checked it out, liked what I saw and wasted no time in joining. Must have been my lucky day.
