  1. what quote have you got? just wondering if it's the same as mine.
  2. Mine is signed inside the front cover and it has a message from the author and also a little stamp where she has written the number. It was signed in October 2007 and has 3 photographs in a pocket in the inside back cover. Does yours have that?
  3. The Lovely Bones and The Green Mile both made me cry.
  4. The Green Mile - Stephen King. I love it and I love the film.

  6. i received my copy today. i have book number 30 of 100
  7. I too struggled with this book. I did finish it in the end but I guess i didn't really get into any of the characters. I think it got better in the second half but at the end i still found it disappointing.
  8. OOooh another one I will look out for. Got to read as much as I can before next baby arrives coz I doubt i will have a spare minute then!!
  9. I googled 'book forum' and had a nose at this one and liked the look of it so joined
  10. I've just ordered this book from the doghorn website. Will let you know when it arrives - can't wait to read it. I don't usually pay this much for a book but thought I would treat myself as I just found out today that I am pregnant Sharon
  11. Thanks Michelle. It wasn't till after I posted that I googled him and saw that he was a R&J Summer Read! Good to see ppl have enjoyed his other books too! I will defo be looking out for more of his stuff in the future.
  12. Has anyone read any of his books? I picked up 'Deadline' by accident in the library last week. Have never heard of the author before but the blurb on the cover sounded like a good plot so I thought i would give it a go. Nearly 3/4's of the way through and I'm really enjoying it. It's one of them books that I don't want to put down. Just wondered if anyone else has read anything by him and what they think.
  13. I too loved Shadow of the Wind. I hope the next book is just as good and not a disappointing 'second album'.
  14. I don't think it really matters what book of her you pick up - you are practically guaranteed it will be a good read. She is one of my favourite authors at the moment.
  15. I read the Soul Catcher and Split Second a few years back now. I met the author in a bookshop and had one of the books signed (I hadn't heard of her/read her books when I had this done lol). To be honest I can't remember much about the storylines but they must have been good coz I've kept them on my bookshelf rather than passing them on!
  16. I absolutely loved this book. Really hard to put it down. Like a PP said, I didn't work out the plot until the end. I would recommend it to anyone.

    Hello

Hi, I've just joined so I thought I should introduce myself. My name is Sharon, I'm 32 and live in County Durham with my husband of 2 years and my 1 year old daughter. I am a stay at home mum and love every minute of it! I am originally from Surrey but moved to the North East in 2000. I love to read. My favourite types of book are horror, thriller and crime. Recently I have been reading and enjoying a lot of the Richard and Judy recommended reads. I am a member of another forum which focuses on parenting and a section of that is for Bookworms but that has gone quiet lately hence me joining here as it looked like a nice busy and friendly place to be. Speak to you soon! Sharon
