Well I'm too young for records, but the first CD I ever bought was Spice by the Spice Girls :roll: I just looked up the year and it was 1996 (I was only 7 so not really my fault :D)

I am now officially a dinosaur......anyone else remember the old 45 singles...anyone :irked::irked:

Great, thanks for that Sue! I've been feeling pretty grim for the past couple of weeks, but this has really made my day!:D

I've never owned a record - they were made in "the good old days", so I'm told. :roll:

But the first CD I ever owned was the soundtrack to Grease. Those summer nights.... *sighs*... :irked:

Mine was Little Jimmy Osmond and 'Long Haired Lover From Liverpool'!

The first one I bought for myself, with money I had earned was 'I'll Find My Way Home' by Jon & Vangelis.

I can still remember most of the lyrics for both songs! YES I am un-young! :irked:

ScarletBella - I loved Duran Duran! :irked:

The first tapes I remember actually buying myself were No Parlez by Paul Young and Fantastic by Wham!, but the first record I bought with money I earned in my first Saturday job (as opposed to birthday present money or pocket money) was A New England by the late, and much missed, Kirsty MacColl - all purchased from my local Woolworths.

The first record I bought was Money Money Money by Abba along with Cars by Gary Numan, both 7" singles. I remember playing them over and over again on my Dad's record player, if you kept the arm up they just kept repeating :roll:

Now I feel old :irked:
