BookJumper
I don't know about owned, but the first one I distinctly remember purchasing with my very own pocket money was A Collection of Beatles Oldies... But Goldies! I would have been about 12, 13 if that.

Larry
Roy Orbison - You Got It. I was only 8 years of age but I liked the song so much and was so saddened by Orbison's early death only weeks after recording it, I was compelled to make my first vinyl purchase. paperplane
The first CD I ever bought was the Spice Girls first album! As for vinyl records, I love them and rather listen to them over CDs! I have 23 so far most of them are The Mars Volta and a few solo LPs from the guitarist as well as a few other artists. I love having the big artwork, coloured vinyls, picture discs special limited editions etc. it just seems a bit more special. My first vinyl record was Frances the Mute by The Mars Volta, and I have 2 others pre-ordered!
