Stephanie2008 Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 I was really looking forward to Tropic Thunder but switched it off after 40 mins because I couldn't stand it anymore
BigWords Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 When I saw the 'full retard' speech in full for the first time I had to go back to the start of the chapter and watch it again to make sure I heard it correctly. Apparently political correctness hasn't reached certain parts of Hollywood yet. It isn't as bad as some of the reviews make it out to be. Give the film another chance.
BookGeek20 Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 I just watched Moulin Rouge for the first time and its made me cry! Its such a beautiful love tragedy, and for those of you who have not seen it, see it! It is a great, funny, lovely, heart-wrenching love story that will touch you!

One of my favourite films (although not as good as Strictly Ballroom) - Baz Luhrmann is a genius!

I've had a sudden urge to re-watch this over the last few days! I've no idea why. I think I'm gonna put it on this alvo
Peacefield Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 One of my favourite films (although not as good as Strictly Ballroom) - Baz Luhrmann is a genius! Oh man I forgot about Strictly Ballroom! I love that one, Chesil. "Shame on you, Miss Leachman!" I watched Mamet's 'The Spanish Prisoner' last night. One of my all time faves!
Cookie Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 I went to my sisters last night and we watched The Spiderwick Chronicles and Demolition Man. Spiderwick Chronicles are pretty good for a childrens film and it's been so long since I watched Demolition Man it was almost like watching a new film, I'd forgotton how funny it was.
Raven Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 In the Mood for Love Well hell-ooooooooo! Some Like It Hot :D Great film, I was lucky enough to see it in the cinema a few years back!
Mexicola Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 (edited) Well hell-ooooooooo! What's that supposed to mean?! Gilmore Girls pilot episode. Edited February 18, 2010 by Mexicola
Cookie Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 I watched some of The Inbetweeners, again (I've watched the two series at least three times) and it still made me laugh so hard I nearly wet my pants!
ned Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 I watched some of The Inbetweeners, again (I've watched the two series at least three times) and it still made me laugh so hard I nearly wet my pants! I love the episode where they go out on the boat that poor fish
Rawr Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 Commando Arnie: ''You're a funny man, Sully, I like you. That's why I'm going to kill you last.''
Tristan Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Felt like seeing some Dennis Hopper in psycho mode , so I put the fantastic 'Speed' on last night. Fell asleep but that's alright, as I almost know it by heart. Underrated action film.
Ilona Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Moon. I was surpised by how much I liked it, actually.
Raven Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Stardust Brilliant! An excellent story and some great performances, but above all a whole lot of fun!
Peacefield Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Moon. I was surpised by how much I liked it, actually. I've been wanting to see this, Ilona; glad you liked it! I've been trying to keep my eye on Sam Rockwell ever since I saw him in 'Box of Moonlight.' I watched a few episodes of 'Sons of Anarchy' last night.
Coffin Nail Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Angels and Demons. It was ok. I just haven't got the Dan Brown bug.
ned Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 I watched that last week, i was rather surprised how much i enjoyed it
Kylie Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 The first two episodes of True Blood, season 1...finally!
vinay87 Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 The Man From Earth Awesome movie! I recommend it to anyone who's looking for a good movie to lose yourself in. I actually searched whether there was a book that it was based on. Sadly no.
