atticjnr
Jacqueline Wilson had to pick 7 all time favourite childrens books...it was a perfect opportunity for self promotion! I'll have to think on this because there are loads I love from my childhood that I can't quite think of right now.

Vanwa
Kasper in the Glitter - Philip Ridley Goodnight Mister Tom - Michelle Magorian The Ghost of Thomas Kempe - Penelope Lively Watership Down - Richard Adams The Snow Spider - Jenny Nimmo All of these have stuck with me for various reasons. Kasper in the Glitter has a special place in my heart. I can still here my year 6 teacher playing out the voices of all of the different characters everytime I read it. Never was there a room full of kids more animated than when he was reading to us. And I still crease up

Janet
2009 RESULTS! Although C S Lewis won with 8 votes, it was for a series of books. I decided to lump series together because many people just wrote 'Narnia' or 'Harry Potter'. Roald Dahl was by far the most nominated author, having had 8 different titles nominated. 11 authors had two different titles nominated. Kylie
Thanks for tallying the results, Janet! I'm thrilled to see John Marsden as equal 5th, considering there are only a few of us who seem to have read this series.
:HerculeHastings:
I think I'd choose Roald Dahl books as my 5 favourites. I love Enid Blyton, but somehow Dahl's books stick in my mind as more meaningful reads. I love Charlie And The Chocolate Factory and Matilda, definitely.
