  4. Thanks, I'm sure I will, there's not many I haven't liked so far. And now I'll be reading the Silver Brumby ones too lol. And I haven't read My Friend Flicka yet and Misty of Chincoteague sounds intruiging...

  10. Wow! Your books must be prestine! I'm impressed I read in the afternoons or evenings lying on my bed and there must be total silence or I can't concentrate. I don't usually eat or drink anything while reading.

  15. Any excess books I buy go into the bookcase and I pick them out as and when the mood takes me. I can't bear the thought of having no new books to read in my bookcase though...I'd get withdrawal symptoms and have to rush off to the nearest bookshop or charity shop.
  16. If a book doesn't grab my interest within the first chapter or so then that's it I'm afraid, it goes to the charity shop.
  17. I usually stick in my comfort zone and read the authors I like and trust....but then I'll have a mad fit and buy something completely different just for a change..., and then I go back to the comfort zone again.
  18. Thanks BookJumper. I was thinking along the same lines with purposely hidden as well. I found it irritating because I wanted to know which county they were in!
  19. Does anyone know why in some of the classics the full names of places are sometimes not entirely written in full. e.g. "they visited the county of ___shire." Hope this isn't a dumb question!
