SueK
If anyone missed this lady's wonderful performance on Britain's Got Talent here it is - and I bet there isn't a dry eye in the house afterwards. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lp0IWv8QZY
Echo
This was so surprising and moving! She has one of the most amazing voices I've ever heard!!
Michelle
Whilst I agree that her voice was rather good, I've heard other people sing that song just as well, if not better. I'm sure it's just such a shock because we all judge her by her looks and behaviour first..?
Nollaig
It's another Paul Potts moment - there were plenty of other talented people who stood out more for me.
Heather
My hubby and I think they will give her a makeover and we both think she has a fabulous voice if she brought out a CD I would certainly buy it.
Michelle
You would make that call on hearing her sing once Heather?

No one expected such a voice from someone who looked, dare I say, so frumpy:lurker:
Heather
You would make that call on hearing her sing once Heather? Yes I would make that call she will probably sing something that does not suit her voice but everyone has a particluar type of muisc that they can sing well and she can reach high note as well. Nollaig
I'd be disappointed if another opera style singer won. I LOVED that troupe of dancing guys, the young fellas. They were brilliant, one did like a headstand towards the end. Simon described them as probably the best thing he's ever seen, ever.

I saw those young men too they were good and my son also liked here staying here at the time.
Nollaig
They were the most impressive dance troupe I've ever seen, I'd be very interested in seeing what else they can do.
Michelle
I've just editied the thread title, to include discussion of the whole programme.
Nollaig
Yay! What did everybody think of the singing family? I thought the little fella should go on by himself - I know the whole family got through, but they won't win with two little girls and not-very-talented parents. The Judges gave then ideas of what to do for the next time but they had to let them thtough as a family so they could make the changes. The young man had a lovely voice. SueK
Yes I thought the troop of dancers were so good. BUT the best act had to be the 60 year old guy who thought he could dance like Gene Kelly and then had to be escorted off by Ant and Dec:lol:
Nollaig
Oh that was brilliant. I was in tears laughing. Poor man!
Ceinwenn
I think my favourite was Stavros Flately - the Cypriot man & his son? I thought they were brilliant & so funny. That woman who did the striptease shouldn't have made it through, imo!
Nollaig
Oh no, she shouldn't. She didn't have talent, she made a rather stupid point.
Ceinwenn
Exactly my point!
Stephanie2008
I agree. I would be so embarrassed if that act was chosen to be the best of British talent. Susan Boyle is great though. I think she will make the final. I also love the father/son dancers, as well as Flawless. However, I wasn't too fond of the singing family. They were good but there's just something I don't like. I watched an interview with them on This Morning and the mother said that the boys voice has broken so they have to change the songs. I wonder what that will do to the act
Kell
Whilst I agree that her voice was rather good, I've heard other people sing that song just as well, if not better. I'm sure it's just such a shock because we all judge her by her looks and behaviour first..? I agree completely - she has a lovely voice, but I have heard better. The shock of it comes from expectations and judging a book by its cover, I guess.
leah86
I haev to agree with Kell, although she could certainly hold a tune and did sing that particular song quite well,I have heard better, much better actually. As a few people have pointed out,I think it was just the shock of hearing how much better she was than what everyone thought she was going to be. Guilty of that myself, because i expected her to be buzzed right off! I really enjoyed the dance troupe Flawless (So much better than last year's winner George Sampson). Absolutely loved the old gu who thought he was Gene Kelly,so funny with Dec dancing at the end!
Nightwish
I liked Susan, but didn't think she deserved the reaction from the audience when she first came on stage. In ways we are all weird but nobody deserves to be laughed at like that. I am glad she has such a beautiful voice and shut everybody up! And Amanda, you was just as bad as the audience at first I loved the dance group (Flawless was it?). I'm really not interested in seeing a singer win it as, even though singing is a talent and that is what the show is about, we have too many singing contest Who else found the stripper halirious? We really didn't need to see it but I am sure Simon was please.
