lexiepiper
Quite simple really, what do you prefer to read, and why?
lexiepiper
My favourite books to read are Mystery/Thriller and Horror/Supernatural and the reason is, I like an exciting storyline, something that will keep me guessing to the end
Lucybird
I probably mainly read contemporary fiction, but I quite like mysteries and fantasy too. Oh and I read quite a lot of historical fiction too
Kylie
Classics. I enjoy the older styles of writing and the more poetic language that is used. I also love sci-fi and fantasy but don't get to read as much as I'd like.
Rawr
I love horror and i find a lot of books written for a younger audience quite entertaining
bethany725
I picked contemporary fiction and chick lit
Janet
I think this should be in the reading section of the board... I was greedy and went for Contemporary, Classics (although mainly 'modern' classics), non-fiction and young adult! It largely depends on my mood. Ben
Young adult and fantasy for me.
Ceinwenn
Well, I thought I selected Contemporary fiction as well as Crime/Mystery/Thriller (or Murder/Mystery/Mayhem as I like to call it!) but it didn't quite work out like that. baggiesfan
I was purely a horror reader for years like most things now i have mellowed and prefer a good crime or thriller.
BookBee8
I picked contemporary fiction and young adult. Main reason for the last one is although I don't tend to read a lot of it, all my favourites are in that genre!
Michelle
Mine has changed over time, and continues to do so. I started off reading horrow, then moved to crime. Then came Historical Fiction and some chick lit.. then very much contempory fiction. I also go through phases of enjoying a little sci-fi. Recently I've been favouring YA fantasy. Inver
Contemp for me, with the odd occasional chick-lit but not my usual choice. I usually like family saga/relationship type. Occasional young adult too, if Kenny makes me read something. As you can see I have been trying to finish off Harry Potter for months, but other books get in the way...lol
Jack Dawkins
What no westerns! I voted Horror as this was the genre that rreally got me into reading, but I like a bit of everything now
bethany725
Aww... I'm the only chick-lit voter as of now.. Am I all alone???
Heather
Mines is crime and horror
SaraPepparkaka
But romance? Do I vote for chick-lit?
BookBee8
But romance? Do I vote for chick-lit? Maybe. That's pretty much all chick lit is about.
bethany725
Maybe. That's pretty much all chick lit is about. lol.. I guess that answers my earlier question! I am destined to be alone here.
BookBee8
lol.. I guess that answers my earlier question! I am destined to be alone here. Hehe, well if it helps...I would choose it over Historical fiction, non fiction and the classics.
bethany725
Thanks for trying...
Michelle
I know for a fact that there are plenty of people on here who like chick lit.
bethany725
*perks up* Reaaally?? Show yourselves, lovers of chick-lit!!!
Andaira
I wouldn't be able to pick just one of the above. For me it's Horror/Supernatural/Fantasy/Sci-Fi and Historical Fiction, and when they're both combined, that makes it even better .
Nici
It's Historical Fiction for me every time.
