Ok back to the lift. Another day you are at a writers conference and the lift is stuck. in that lift is yourself and one of the writers, who would you like to be stuck with?.

I will start by having James Herbert so I could ask him why his last few books have been such hard work on the reader?

I wouldn't mind so much being stuck, as long as I didn't need to pee, with the likes of Terry Pratchett, Simon Scarrow, Kelley Armstrong, Christopher Brookmyre or Stuart Macbride - I love their books and could quite happily while away the time chatting with them

Ooh, if we could choose a comedian, I'd go for Lee Evans. He's hilarious :)

Ditto, I LOVE him :D

Same here! ... and he seems like such a nice guy too

For me, it would be Jonathan Kellerman. I love his books!

Bill Bryson. That guy is a complete crack-up.

I definitely agree with these three suggestions, although someone (now dead) who I think I would enjoy the company of is Peter Ustinov.

And no bladder/bowel issues for the duration is a must!!

JK Rowling or Stephenie Meyer wouldn't be bad options.

I`m going to use the stairs in future!

I think I`d resurrect Roald Dhal, I just wonder at his imagination.
