frankie
That really annoys me about Quinn too! As soon as he started saying it I was like ".....no no no! Get him out of here! Taxi for Quinn!" I didn't like him and after everything that happened with eric, how could we accept another love interest? I noticed that too! And the clothes were always so bad too. Sookie is supposed to be young and the clothes she was describing.....well I had to imagine different outifts because it was really off-putting! Glad you agree on both of these things Well, of course nothing's worth anything after having had Eric, but if he's not to be had (or rather, if Sookie won't yield to him) there's gotta be something going on. I don't mind To me the clothes descriptions in these books are so tedious I just can't bother imagining the outfits at all. I mean I read the lines but don't pay that much attention to them, just enough so I'll know when the descriptions end and the real action continues. Another thing that kind of put me off Quinn was the description of him. I'm sure there was a line which described his 'shiney bald head'! I could only envision an old man with a comb-over after this! I totally agree about descritions of clothes....surely to know that the characters are dressed is enough

A real courageous head with a real nice shine in the hair department? We can only hope. But please, a comb-over Hm, I got a nice idea. I really fancy this Finnish singer/actor called Veeti Kallio, he's pretty hot and I think I'll just picture him when Quinn's involved Problem solved! Charm
 You two gave me a good laugh  I imagine Quinn as Imhotep the Mummy out of the The Mummy and The Mummy Returns! I think he was quite dishy
frankie
Nicola okay fine, I like those rules anyway I need to google who Charm's talking about first though.
frankie
Well Veeti Kallio is definitely better than Imhotep, I'm not sharing Charm's views on this dude, he looks like a heavily made-up Smackdown show wrestling git
Nicola
Well I like my men with a bit more hair so I've been trying to imagine him looking something like...........Daniel Craig! Circa Casino Royale With those shorts.......ahhhhhhhhh! That's my happy thought for today!

Hm I wonder who would be tough enough to pull off the role of Quinn. And tall enough and muscular enough. Well I think Veeti Kallio will do for the time being I've been doing a lot this week so I'm taking the day off eventhough the weekend's coming. Hoping to finish Definitely Dead today
frankie
Poor Sookie, she's just heard from Bill that he orchestrated their relationship in order to bring her talent to the use of the queen. Stephanie2008
Aww I know. I wonder if they will do this in True Blood (then again I think they have a vandetta against Eric in the series so he will probably get called for that ). I did feel for Sookie when she found that out - such a betrayal that I wasn't expecting.
frankie
Stephanie I know what you mean, I definitely wasn't expecting anything like that. I've always hoped in the back of my mind that if Sookie doesn't wanna hang out with Eric, she should go for Bill again. I guess I had it all wrong, Bill's an asshole. I don't know about the TV-series as I haven't seen it yet

Stephanie2008
Sorry, I didn't realise you hadn't seen the show I know what you mean though. I'm always hoping that Eric will show more but figured that Bill would do as a second Now I think she deserves more than Bill. Gyre - I kind of liked Quinn too
frankie
Frankie, you should have seen my face when I found that out!, aghast does not cover it!!!! Gyre Why? frankie
I think I'm gonna start rooting for Sam. Quinn is bound to be another asshole in the line of assholes. Heck, I even like Terry. So it's Sam or Terry, if not Eric. Alcide proved to be an asshole too, the way he handled things after his father died. Stephanie, no problem, you didn't spoil anything for me regarding the TV-series

Stephanie2008
I'm not a fan of Sam, although I do blame True Blood for that. I think Sookie should just become a nun because she gets nothing but trouble from the men in her life Although I quite like Terry too

frankie
Sam has my vote! I know people say he is boring but I think he will make Sookie very happy. Personally I don't think he's boring at all. Just because he doesn't lie to Sookie or treat her like **** doesn't make him boring. I've liked Sam from the get-go and while he's no Eric, he's certainly a beautiful, precious soul. I've always felt that he's the one who would be right and good to Sookie, one who is there to stay and whom she could totally count on. I need to continue reading the book now. It's like riding a horse: I've just fallen off it and have to get back on the saddle eventhough I know it's scary and possibly dangerous and could hurt me again.
