chrysalis_stage Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 They don't have jokes on the sticks?! But that's half the fun! I know! Exactly, We should revolt! Quote
lexiepiper Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 I have some B&J's Fossil Fuel in the freezer waiting to be finished, I think I shall indulge tonight! Quote
BookJumper Posted March 30, 2009 Posted March 30, 2009 My staple ice-cream cone (my primary school back at home was situated in front of what is IMHO the best ice-cream parlour in the city so this is something I pretty much had five days a week for five years on my way home from school) is as follows: melon, yoghurt, liquorice, mint. If I can't have four, I'll change my tack altogether and say limoncello (Italian lemon liqueur). So sad the British can't make ice-cream (except the Cornish, who make amazingly creamy ice-cream but sadly in only four flavours)... Quote
Lucybird Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 I popped to the Ben and Jerry's stall today and got some of their coffee and their mint choc chip ice-cream yumm yumm, so long since I've had ben and jerry's Quote
Nollaig Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 ......Mint choc chip? Theres no B&J mint choc chip in Ireland! That's not fair! THINK OF THE CHILDREN! Er... I've not gotten much sleep lately. Yes. Quote
Lucybird Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 I've never seen it before, they at least only do it from the ice-cream stalls, not as tubs which is a shame, they don't do the coffee one in tibs either Quote
muggle not Posted April 2, 2009 Author Posted April 2, 2009 Tonight at a restaurant we had, for dessert, lemon ginger pound cake with a big scoop of ginger flavored ice cream. First I've had ginger ice cream, it was good. Quote
BookJumper Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 First I've had ginger ice cream, it was good. Sounds yummy, says the ginger-and-white-chocolate-cheesecake-from-Wagamama's fiend. Quote
Lucybird Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 I like ginger ice-cream, I used to occasionally order it from the noodle bar at uni when I was still there Quote
Lucybird Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 Went to the Ben and Jerry's stall again Friday (whoops!) and got vanilla toffee crunch this time. It was more like vanilla toffee slab! Did you know Ben and Jerry's do lipbalm? How awesome is that? Quote
BookBee8 Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 Did you know Ben and Jerry's do lipbalm? How awesome is that? I would end up eating that. Mmm, the brownie ice cream is lovely! Quote
Lucybird Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 lol yeah I would probably end up eating it too Quote
BookJumper Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 Went to the Ben and Jerry's stall again Friday (whoops!) and got vanilla toffee crunch this time. It was more like vanilla toffee slab! ... surely that's a GOOD thing ?! Quote
Nicola Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 I used to love love love Ben and Jerry's pineapple icecream (forget the name of it) when I went to the cinema and then it was gone. Never to be seen again! I've been contemplating buying an icecream maker just to make pineapple icecream but I'm scared that I'll be heading quite quickly to a heart attack!! Really nice though Quote
Kimmy619 Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 I just like gold old fashioned vanilla - yummy!! Quote
Lucybird Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 ... surely that's a GOOD thing ?! Generally yes, but not when you're eating it in a little tub with one of those tiny scoop/spoon things, makes it a bit difficult not to drop ice cream everywhere I used to love love love Ben and Jerry's pineapple icecream (forget the name of it) when I went to the cinema and then it was gone. Never to be seen again! They used to have the coffee one in big tubs, now you can only get it at the stalls which is expensive. It was so nice too! Quote
