Kell Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 I'll be happy if I manage to finish a couple per month this year- LOL! Quote
Ben Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 I love that idea Charm! It would work for me if I could find a book-mark to use. The funny thing is I bet I've got one lying around somewhere! I'm hoping for a serious haul of books read this year! 11 in January, so that would mean 132 if I kept up the pace. We'll see! Quote

I'm so impressed with so many of you! Shooting for 100 books is a really unrealistic goal for me. I only read four in January, and I felt like I read a TON!! I am soooo behind... Quote
Rawr Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 I might nip in Waterstones and see if they're selling any cool bookmarks later, i'm sick of using scraps of paper haha! Quote
bethany725 Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Dear goodness.. don't get a scary one! Quote
Rawr Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Now that you mention it, i would love my avatar image as a bookmark LOL now that would be pretty freaky. Would go with the atmosphere of a good horror read. Quote
bethany725 Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Man.. I do NOT want to see that everytime I open a book! I am glad you love it, though! Quote

I only read four in January, and I felt like I read a TON!! I am soooo behind... Always read at your own pace. I was actually only aiming for 52 books - 1 a week, but then I read 9 in January just because I read some great books and I tend to devour them. I could well miss 100 by miles, but I want to get to it =D Its about 2 books a week for most of the year. Quote
bethany725 Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Well it's an impressive pace at which you're reading.. I honestly don't know where you find the time! Raja is always amazed at how much I read.. and I only read 4 books in the month! He'd be super shocked by your speed. Quote
Rawr Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Man.. I do NOT want to see that everytime I open a book! I am glad you love it, though! Haha think it would drive ME mad too! I'll be on the look out for a nice bookmark! Quote
pipread Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 A friend bought me one of these for xmas last year along with a book. She got it in Germany and its really lovely. Each month there is a picture of a gothic girl and they are all beautiful. I've started writing on the back of each one which books I read in that particular month and am gonna keep them all. What a good idea, didn`t think of that use for them, might have to take another trip to Borders and buy one this time. Quote

I will be moving house at some stage so we'll see if that slows me down at all Quote
