Madeleine Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 Just managed to avoid a downpour, got to Waterstone's just in time. Luckily it had stopped on the way back. No hail yet..... Quote
chesilbeach Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 It quite a nice, bright day but the temperature is pretty cold for the last day of April! Quote
Nollaig Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Two days ago was fairly sunny, but very cold. Yesterday was extremely sunny and very warm. Today is very sunny, and pretty cool, but also a little humid. Quote
Madeleine Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Sunday was the best day, rained a bit yesterday morning but then was dull most of the time, today started off sunny but then got dull, and it's meant to get colder again! Quote
Nollaig Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 It had been quite warm and humid here, so I'm happy to report the temperature has dropped again, the sun is in behind some thick cold and is it cold again Quote
Madeleine Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 Dull and dreary again, looks like rain. I'd like it a bit warmer, sick of the cold wind. Quote
Madeleine Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 It's a been a bit odd this weekend - dull at first, then a bit sunny, and then finally getting sunny around 4.30/5.00 - too little too late really! Quote
Madeleine Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 It actually rained last night! Quite muggy though and not very pleasant. Quote
Little Pixie Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 20C yesterday and sunny ; today was a touch cooler and a bit of rain at teatime ( though not the thunderstorm predicted) . I got some plants last week - lavender, petunias, geraniums , pansies - so I'm glad it rained. Quote
chesilbeach Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 Darker clouds just coming in now, and it's getting darker by the minute ... I'm guessing it's going to rain soon. Quote
Autumn Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 It rained here on and off all day yesterday which was the first time we'd had rain for about a fortnight. Back to being nice and sunny this morning though, if a little breezy. Quote
Madeleine Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Nice and sunny today but a bit windy, kept clouding over but hasn't rained yet. Managed to pot up a few more plants. Quote
Nollaig Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 It's absolutely miserable here today, and I'm meant to be moving house this evening. Ugh. Quote
itsmeagain Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 (edited) It's raining in Sheffield. Edited May 15, 2017 by itsmeagain Quote
Madeleine Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 We had quite a bit of rain last night and this morning. Hope your move goes Ok Nollaig. Quote
Nollaig Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 Thanks @Madeleine It could have been a little less painful, but done now anyway! Today is MUCH brighter and drier out, though still windy. So glad to see some blue sky and not get rained on - it was miserable right up until early this morning. The breeze is keeping the temperature down too which is nice. Quote
Madeleine Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 It was lovely and sunny this morning but cloudier now. Have finally come to work in a fleece instead of the anorak for the first time this year though! Quote
Madeleine Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 Well they wanted rain and we've had loads of the stuff, hasn't stopped since last night. Wish I'd known as I wouldn't have bothered watering my plants in the evening! Quote
Athena Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 It's quite hot and sunny here today, 30 °C right now. I find it too hot outside, and even inside it's starting to warm up. Tomorrow it's predicted it will be 17 °C here, maximum, and rain. Why can't the weather be more often in between 'too hot' and 'too rainy / hail / wind / cold'? Like.. I like 15 - 25 °C with sometimes sun and sometimes clouds. That's my ideal weather, if I had to choose one specific type of weather. It seems to be either pretty crappy weather (too cold or too much rain) or too hot. Quote
Madeleine Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 Oh that is hot, and quite a drop back to 17. We were up to about 20 yesterday which was quite nice, it's a bit lower today but very muggy which isn't nice. I agree it seems to be either too hot, too cold or too wet, never a happy medium. Think we'll be in the late teens for a while, but with more rain. Quote
chesilbeach Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 It's rained heavily all day, and continues to do so now. Quote
Madeleine Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 Yes same here, rained nearly all day. Better today but much cooler. Quote
