No, that doesn't work as I don't follow any content. I'm talking about the notifications I get when people quote my posts, tag me etc - this link here should take you to yours - I don't want to stop getting the notifications but there always used to be a way of deleting/clearing the older ones out when there got too many.

How do I clear my notifications? They're beginning to pile up and from what I can remember you used to be able to 'select all' and then 'clear selected' but I can no longer find how to do so. Thanks.

Haven't read any of this series but it does seem to be quite literally everywhere at the moment. Seems to get rave reviews too.

I read this when it first came out and really enjoyed it. Bit of a tearjerker though.

I recently picked up the boxset of these books in The Works - couldn't resist the bargain price. I'm not 100% convinced it's my kind of thing but I've been saying for ages I wanted to try and broaden my horizons and read something out of my comfort zone so it seemed like too good an offer to pass up. I've read a few reviews online and from what I've read most people seem to love them.... I'm probably a tad (read a lot) older than the age group it's marketed for but what the hell. I'm willing to give them a go.

I know I've been a bit absent from the board and so far haven't officially participated in any of the read-a-thon's but this weekend I was planning on spending it curled up with a book (or two) anyway so this has worked out perfectly for me. I may, however, change the dates slightly if that's allowed and do either Saturday through Monday or maybe even Sunday through to Tuesday as I'm off work next week so these dates would suit me better.

Oh yeah, Shopaholic & Sister was a terrible book. I think this is the point I stopped reading the series because it just put me off so much. I think Twenties Girl is probably my absolute favourite standalone.

I loved this book. Her standalone books are so much better than the Shopaholic books which, in my opinion, should have finished after about book 3.

I chose the name Autumn because my real name had already been used by someone else. There's no fascinating story behind my choice but Autumn is is my favourite time of year.

Tea for me and I drink bucket loads of the stuff. Coffee is a big no-no for me. Hate the taste, hate the smell. Can't stand the stuff.

Totally possible... Gilbert Blythe in Anne of Green Gables gets my vote! Anyway, I first read Jane Eyre when I was in my early teens (I think) so a good 20 odd years ago and it is still the only 'classic' that I have ever managed to read. I loved it when I read it the first time and have always wanted to re-read it but there was always a little part of me that was worried that I wouldn't love it as much now that I'm older. A few weeks ago I was flicking through the channels on the television and came across one of the many film versions (can't remember which one now) and it really got me hankering after the book again. So I treated myself to a brand new copy of it - I do still have my original version somewhere but wanted a nice new fresh copy - and I read it over the weekend. I am happy to report that I loved it just as much second time around as I did the first, if not more so because I'm older and wiser and understand it a bit better now. At the same time I purchased the book I also picked up a copy of the 2011 movie version with Michael Fassbender as Rochester and watched it Sunday night (after finishing the book) and I'd totally recommend it too.

I love this film. I've seen it numerous times, although admittedly not for a while, but it always makes me laugh.

Started a re-watch of Lost the other day - I love this show, particularly the early seasons and the pilot episodes are amazing. I'd actually forgotten just how good this show was.

I completely agree with this statement. I see a lot of people on social media and the like complaining that they are behind schedule with their reading target and it makes me want to scream. I understand people setting goals for themselves but it's not the end of the world if you don't achieve those goals and reading short books just to play catch up sort of seems to defeat the whole point of reading for enjoyment. But that's just my opinion. Although the majority of the books I read are probably in the 350-450 page range, which I feel is about the size of an average paperback, I prefer books which are double the length of this. I like being able to get my teeth into a nice big chunky book as it seems so much more satisfying for me. I hate books that are too short - novella's for me are a big no-no because the ones I have tried have always felt unfinished and seem like a bit of a waste of time.

Wow! This thread brings back so many memories. I used to love these books and although I didn't own all of them I had a fair few in my collection. I think I borrowed the rest either from the library or from friends. Reading this thread makes me wish I'd kept hold of them now.

Moana which, I'm not going to lie, I absolutely loved. It's the first proper Disney film (i.e. animation) that I've seen in years and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

It rained here on and off all day yesterday which was the first time we'd had rain for about a fortnight. Back to being nice and sunny this morning though, if a little breezy.

Maybe it's just me, as I can't see anyone else having mentioned it previously in this thread about there being a problem, but does this work in the same way as on the old forum? Unread content on the old forum used to show me a list of all the threads that had been posted in since my last visit, whilst on the new one it shows me in post form which isn't a problem in itself but I'm not convinced it shows me all unread content. I logged on to the board yesterday for the first time in quite a wee while and there didn't seem to be all that much 'new' content - a lot less than what I had been expecting anyway and it just didn't seem right, if you know what I mean. I'm just worried that I might miss something. Anyone else noticed anything unusual about it, or is it just me? Overall though I love the new look of the board (I did get a bit of a shock when I first logged on to it though). I find it more easy on the eye, cleaner and just fresher in general. I found the old one a bit 'busy' looking.

I've only just been introduced to this author but I have to say that after only reading one book I am hooked. Last week I read Die For Me and right from the outset I was completely absorbed in the story. It is quite a chunky book at just under 700 pages and it did take me about 6 days to read it but it was a fantastic read from start to finish. There were days last week I was tempted to phone in sick just so I could stay home and read all day. I did a little research online and found out that although her books can be read as standalone's they do feature recurring characters and certain events from previous books are mentioned in later books and as Karen Rose herself recommends reading them in order, that is what I am going to do. I've ordered her entire back catalogue in paperback and cannot wait to get stuck in.

It's annoying when reading paperbacks, but even more annoying when reading a book on your Kindle.

If I'm honest I hate bonus content and don't really see the point in it. It's usually all things that you can find online anyway and I really, really hate thinking I have more of my book to read only to find I've only got a couple of pages left because the last 20-30 pages are in fact an extract from the authors next book.
