bookmonkey Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 You've got our weather Chesil. It's usually cold enough to have the heater on every day in May, instead we're still wearing shorts and t-shirts. Quote

Where are you bookmonkey? North or South Island? I'm the top of the south and I sure ain't wearing shorts and t-shirts! It's leggings, sweatshirts and warm socks all the way here. 14C at the mo. Athena Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Today it'll be very warm here, but also somewhat cloudy. Then later this week it will be colder again. Quote
muggle not Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 We were under a severe weather alert tonight. Fortunately we are on;y getting lightning, rain, and some wind. Other areas very near us got wind in excess of 60 mph and golf ball size hail. Quote
chesilbeach Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 Pouring with rain on the way into work this morning, glorious sunshine on the way home … ah, the Great British Summer is upon us! Quote
bookmonkey Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 I spoke too soon the other day. It is now pouring with rain. There's severe flooding in Wellington, two hours away from me. The rain is supposed to keep up for at least another 24 hours. Quote
Talisman Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 Chucking down for most of the day. I got more than a little bit wet. Quote
Nollaig Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Starting to get warm and sunny again here. Hoping the real heat holds off at least til June. Quote
frankie Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 It's been unseasonably cold over here. -1 degree a few days ago in Helsinki, whereas they had +11 during the same day in my home hometown. That's curious! Quote
chaliepud Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Lovely day here today which was lucky as we were at a football tournament.. Got rather hot helping on the BBQ! Quote
chesilbeach Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 After a wet start to the day, it brightened up, but it was still really cold. Saw people out with winter coats on … at the end of May! Quote
frankie Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 It's sunny over here, not too warm yet but it's early in the morning Quote
chesilbeach Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 It's been raining all day and it's bloomin' cold. Seriously considering putting the heating on … in June!!! Quote
Nollaig Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Heatwave predicted for end of the week in the UK, though. And it's meant to get milder in Ireland too. Apart from my umbrella breaking in the wind on the way to the shop today, where I bought another umbrella and had that one break on the way home - I'm happy with this weather. It'll be too hot for long enough - I'm enjoying the need for a warm blanket wrapped around me! Quote
bobblybear Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 It's been raining all day and it's bloomin' cold. Seriously considering putting the heating on … in June!!! I put the heating on for a bit this morning. I draped my clothes over the radiator, so they were toasty warm. Quote
