I hope you have a great reading year in 2014, Devi, and a great year health-wise as well!  :friends3:

That's a great-looking pile of books you got for Christmas. :) I like Tim Ferguson; I had no idea he has MS!

I'm off to check out your updated lists now. :)

I didn't either until i saw his book featured in an MS magazine. It contained a snippet from the book which mentioned he never wanted to really acknowledge it till he had to - like starting to walk with a stick. Much like me, i never told my friends till I started having to use a cane.

Happy New Year Deborah and Happy reading in 2014! Hope it's a much better year for you

Thank you :)

I am hoping it will be a better year. Feels like it will be. I am not someone who is superstitious but after the year I had last year (health wise), I am ready to believe that 13 might be a bad luck number! :giggle2:

13 was definitely unlucky for me as  well,so we both have to keep up our spirits that this year will be better . Maybe we can lean on each other a bit if need be . I'll try  not to lean too much on you . I'm older and tougher than an old buzzard  I have a lot of things in my life that I don't share on here ,but let's just say that I am used to living with bad news  . Some days are better than others, as I'm sure you know .

So drop me a note if you need a shoulder to lean on . I have some pretty wide ones ..

Lovely book pics Devi, i have Oryx & Crake on my TBR pile as well, although my copy's not as nice & new looking as yours  :D

Sorry i missed your question my copy is a paperback & half the cover is a pixelated face & the other half is just black with the title on it, it's probably an old one as i picked it up in a charity shop years ago

Devi i hope this year is a great year for you bookwise & healthwise as well  :friends3:

Thank you Julie, I managed that much. Still haven't worked out how people turn the links into their own text though. :giggle2:

That sounds great.  I have always enjoyed post-apocalyptic/dystopian fiction.  I think I'm adding that to my wish list :)

Well I took the plunge and bought it on my kindle for $7 aus. Book depository had it for $18.

This sounds great! Apocalyptic/dystopian is a bit overdone these days but still great to read. :D

It was published in 2008, so I am hoping they will be decent stories compared to the ones published today.

I had a good reading session last night. I read just over 80 pages in 2 hours, a sign of things to come I hope.
