The Robot story sounds very much like something I heard on the radio in my teens ( BBC World Service had a 15 min storytime slot ). Always remembered it .

It`s had a couple of rejigs, but I love the lead character, Tom Mison`s Ichabod Crane. He has a delightful camp masculinity.
