  1. Oh dear, I'd expect my 8 year old to be more mature.. Funny how they handled him though!
  2. Well, at least you have another to add to your Toast Quotes book! Ok, here's another.. It was the end of September and cold. He smelled burning wood one evening as he walked the wagon trail. As he got closer, he saw smoke rising from their chimney and then ***** was standing in the doorway, her hands on her swollen belly. ******* had never seen anything so welcoming.
  3. I think I recognise that (after all it has dogs in it!) Is it Rebecca?
  4. Only if I can make it mandatory that everyone reads Human Traces.
  5. I think my brain is too easily addled!
  6. Perfect frankie, you've got it sussed so I think you would do a wonderful job of organising it, and I vote Claire to do the numbers/stats!
  7. I've only read three of the books, 2 were by Jojo Moyes so I voted for 'Me Before You'
  8. Pretty sure it's not Enid Blyton as there is no mention of ginger beer! Far too grown up too.
  9. I do hope the third and final book is as good as the first one, I really didn't enjoy the second one that much.
  10. Hmm, do you know if any of us have read it?
  11. Ok, it doesn't sound contemporary so maybe last century? More than 20/30 years?
  12. I can't remember to be honest KM, probably a week or 10 days but time very well spent as is my favourite book of all time.
  13. You're very welcome frankie, I hope you enjoy Human Traces as much as I did, I think you might with your interest in psychology, but if you only enjoy it half as much as I did you will think it very good indeed!
  14. Is it biographical?
  15. Is it maybe more one for the ladies?
  16. Was it not good? I have it on record..
  17. Good morning and welcome Sonia.
  18. Starting Titus Groan..
  19. It's not ringing any bells, is it a contemporary book?
  20. Is it a biography? Maybe Augustin Burroughs as I know he is a favourite of yours and Kay's? Stab in the dark though!
  21. Think hes the only male classic author I know.. Except Shakespeare.. Is he classics, or just ancient?!
  22. Hi Tonya! Do you have any pets?
  23. Sounds more romantic than JV?
  24. It was good Steve, best not to take them too seriously but I loved the humour elements too. Christopher Ecclestone was great as Malachi (baddie), his voice was perfect for the part.
