So true given the tagic accidents in the news this weekend.

  5. Was the film the same title as the book? I just looked at the Persephone titles and don't recognise any films there.. How about an actor clue if it wouldn't make it too easy?
  6. Yikes.. Not my forte, where's Kay when we need her?!

  13. Contemporary then?
  14. It seems vaguely familiar but that could be because I've read it lots of times! Is it YA?
  15. No I haven't, not sure it's something I would like either.
  16. You missed Tess of the D and an Alice in Wonderland book that I saw, I've just bought Love Tommy but I'm not sure whether I'll give it to my brother for Christmas or keep it for myself! Either way we will both read it.
  17. I just looked at it too and thought of you! Wonder what will be next? Madame Bovary?
  18. 13. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

That feels like two life lessons in one.

  19. Welcome Anna, whereabouts in the US are you from? We have a fair few of our country men and women on here. Looks like you have a very varied taste in books, I haven't read any King yet despite my Dad being a big fan and insisting I do so! I have The Stand, Needful Things and 22:11:63 on my shelf but awaiting the urge to start one.
  20. Is that a list of books you have read this year? If so, WOW! Some big books there too, which ones were your favourites? I have read half a dozen, have a few of them on my TBR shelf and there are some others there I may add to my wish list.
  21. The Originals, I love me a bit of Klaus!!
  22. 12. It's okay for your children to see you cry.

Glad it's ok, as I've done it loads over the years!

  23. It could just be me Eleanora, it gets pretty good reviews overall. I'm struggling to read at all at present so I might not be the best judge.
  24. Started and gave up on Mary Horlock's Book of Lies, I was never going to enjoy her way of writing! Think I will go on Newes from the Dead now.
  25. Doesn't ring any bells (Christmassy or otherwise!) Will await more clues..
