  1. Happy Christmas to me!! Only 39 sleeps anyways! My only problem is that I only allow myself one to be read shelf and I'm now having to double shelve which I don't like.. I would really like to read some of the books that have been there the longest, I will have to try and figure out on Goodreads which those are..
  2. Oh dear, there appears to be a correlation between reading less and buying more! I was doing well I thought but I seem to have added to the TBR rather which at a rough count is now up to the mid 50's. Ohwell, I don't have any vices so who cares! Here are my new additions - Stephen King - The Stand and Needful Things John Steinbeck - Cannery Row, East of Eden, Of Mice and Men, The Pearl and The Red Pony (a very reasonably priced set from The book People) Pushing The Limits - Katie McGarry The Husband's Secret - Liane Moriarty Girl, Stolen - April Henry (for Decembers RNIB reading circle) A Dog Named Christmas - Greg Kincaid (Thank you frankie! ) Lost and Found - Jacqueline Sheehan (Thanks again frankie! ) Daring To Dream - Nora Roberts Marina - Carlos Ruiz Zafon I think I will barely break even on my Goodreads challenge this years which is a little disappointing as I was 8 books ahead at one point, but I have in fact already this year read the same amount of pages that I read in the whole of 2012 so not so bad when I look at it that way. Jojo is sleeping better now in that she sleeps in till 630 every morning now so I need to get back in the habit of reading in bed, which means earlier nights, not sitting on the sofa catching up with my favourite TV shows after my eldest finally goes to bed!
  3. An organic plum.
  4. Lazy Toad in the Hole this evening! With mashed potato, lots of veggies and gravy with homemade cookies for the kids after, the rest of the cookies are for the Children In Need bake sale at youngest sons school tomorrow.
  5. I have Twinings Raspberry and Echinacea for that Marie.. but now I'm going to have some Cranberry and Blood Orange Tea, it tastes a little like Mulled Wine!
  6. It was a Chilean Sauvignon Blanc, I'm not a wine buff and tend to stick to £5/6 wines, but I know what I like! I hope you enjoy yours and they don't prevent you losing those last few pounds!
