  1. I've just finished a book so think I will make this my next read Janet, thanks for a good review.
  2. Ok, I've read 54, nearly 55, books so far this year but stopped writing any reviews at book 26, oh dear, that wasn't the plan!!! I will endeavour to write up a few notes over the next couple of days, if in fact I can remember anything about them!!
  3. Go Dani and Vincent, they're getting lots of local support here in Surrey where they are training!
  4. Every parents worst nightmare..
  5. Mother and Child.. Heart rending..
  6. Ooh, let me know how you get on, can't wait for Xmas to get mine!
  7. I have.. And climbing .. Love it! I've never scuba dived (gives me the willies thinking about it even)
  8. Ooh I have, lovely with cinnamon.. I have never ridden in a go kart..
  9. I've used it a fair amount for all sorts of things, much easier than eBay as no hassle with photos and descriptions, have never had any problems, in fact have had more problems with eBay in the last 12 months with non payers etc..
  10. Neither have I (touch wood!) I have never drunk coffee..
  11. Billy couldn't scare anyone if he tried, he's only dangerous in that he gets sooo excited he sometimes forgets his strength and hits his hard head on my shins! I must look out some good doggy movies, so hard to find ones that aren't sad though!!
  12. Really enjoying The Light Between Oceans, very interested to see how it ends..
  13. Loving this at the moment...
  14. When I Fall In Love - Rick Astley (Gotta love the 80's )
  15. It's Sunday so it must be a roast!
  16. I thought the film was ok, pretty true to the book which meant I pretty much knew what was going to happen all the way through.. I will start A Light Between Oceans tonight, I have high hopes for it as it has had such good reviews.
  17. One Day was a strange one for me, I only read it as it was recommended by a male friend, got through it easily enough but not too impressed as I read it, finished it then realised how good it was!! Hope you like it too BB. As you have probably seen on Januarys Reading Circle choices, A Tenderness of Wolves is a particular favourite of mine, I hope you love it as well.
  18. Hmmm, have added The Power of One to my wishlist, not sure I should look into all the others!!
  19. Ok, I'll do that first, I'll have an e-reader after Christmas so hopefully the classics will be free!
  20. Really enjoying Bitten by Kelley Armstrong, a good bit of sexy escapism... Thanks Chrissy for the swap!
  21. Oh dear, that's the only book of hers I have, maybe I shouldn't read that one first or I may never try the others?!
  22. I have (that is sad, although you're probably a youngster compared to me, if you like pm me your address and I will send you one, not sure how exciting I can make it but it would be handwritten!) I have never left Europe
  23. Oh wow, that is cute! No, the lady is Japanese I think, and we try and be polite and bow, nod or wave to one another and smile pleasantly while our boys do their best to make us look like awful dog owners! I must get a pic of my fave local dog for you, a miniature Bull Terrier called Billy, we are besotted with one another and he has the most amazing temperament but sadly most people avoid him and even cross the road when he is desperate to say hello... I'll pop it on my thread when I next see him.. I could probably watch the film in Finnish, I'll just enjoy watching the doggy!
  24. Watched What's Your Number last night, it was a bit rude, actually very rude in parts, but very funny and appealed to my very low grade sense of humour, don't judge me people! Another bonus was that I got to ogle Chris Evans of Captain America fame (phwoar!!!) Well, Steve is away for long stretches!
