  1. To be fair I've only read non-fiction about bears but wouldn't mind some fiction..
  2. Think it'll be a while before I've read all the books, plus there are always wolves to read about, and bears, i have a soft spot for them too...
  3. This game is, end to end stuff!! No choice here anyways with two football mad sons! Glad you finished it though, love Zafon, really must get around to reading The Angel's Game sometime soon...
  4. I need to find some more good doggy books for 2013!
  5. Some great books there Andrea, notably A Monster Calls, The Shadow of the Wind, The Book Thief, Me Before You, The Time Traveller's Wife and a few from my TBR pile and wish list too, there are a fair few of us wanting to read Rebecca sometime soon! Have a fantastic 2013 Andrea, reading and otherwise!
  6. Hi Andrea, my Kobo is white with the blue back, good choice by Steve as I wouldn't have liked a black one as much, this matches my phone and iPad! I'm surprised at how much I enjoyed reading on it, I've finished a book already on it and downloaded my next, it's so much more comfortable reading in bed with it, but I am going to make myself read at least one tree book in between, at least that's my plan!
  7. Looks like I need to get to these books ASAP!
  8. Have a great 2013 Anisia!
  9. Oops!!
  10. Have a fantastic 2103 Bree!
  11. How to Raise the Perfect Dog: Through puppyhood and beyond - Cesar Millan I'm not a fan of many of Cesar's methods, try You Tubing him and Alan Titchmarsh for a taster of what I mean... Would highly recommend Sheila Booth's Purely Positive Training if you are able to get hold of a copy, I've had mine about 10 years and it is one of my favourite dog training books, along with The Perfect Puppy by Gwen Bailey but I think you're past that stage with Reuben now.. A Discovery of Witches - Deborah Harkness Oh yes!!! The Snow Child - Eowyn Ivey Fantastic! The Invisible Ones - Stef Penney I must move this to the top of my wish list, I hope it's as good as A Tenderness of Wolves.. Have a fantastic 2013 BB!
  12. The Snow Child is a great descriptive character driven book, I don't know anyone who hasn't enjoyed it.
  13. Fantastic book, enjoy, and you have permission to shed a tear or two..
  14. Pitch Perfect at the cinema with the kids, brilliant feel good acapella singing competition film!
  15. That's a heck of a list Jessi, good luck and have a fantastic 2013!
  16. I'll let you know (while watching my back..) Many thanks, you too.
  17. It's brilliant isn't it, I want to read it again but I have too many other books to read!!! Me too!
  18. Eowyn Ivey The Snow Child Amazing book, I don't know anyone who hasn't liked this. Thomas Hardy Tess of the D'Urbervilles I remember enjoying this whilst at college but can't remember a thing about it, maybe I should download it free onto my Kobo... Steig Larsson The Girl Who Kicked a Hornet's Nest Have you read the first two Janet? I have and enjoyed them but I haven't conjured the energy to read the third yet, maybe this year! Kate Morton The Forgotten Garden Excellent read, as was The House at Riverton, but The Distant Hours was a bit bleurgh, undecided at the mo whether to try her latest.. Sebastian Faulks On Green Dolphin Street Have you read any other Faulks? If not please don't start with this one! (Try Birdsong or Human Traces..) William Golding The Lord of the Flies My son loved this when he read it for school last term, I cannot agree with him. i thought there was a gender divide with this book until I saw Andrea liked it so maybe not.. Have a fantastic 2013 Janet!!
  19. Now I'm geting very nervous!!!!!! Saying that I read the first page of ICTC and it seemed rather odd, I may now have to read it to settle the argument..
  20. Make mine a custard yum yum, Waitrose if possible, I've just discovered them and actually ate two in a row and I'm not normally a big fan of cake... Can I say that here??
  21. Hi VF, all tree books bar one, Petals in the Ashes, I'm trying to not have more than one or two books waiting on my Kobo in case I start to neglect my TBR shelf. At the moment I'm planning on saving the Kobo for reads that are either cheaper or not available as tree books. Thanks Laura, you too.. Scary KM! Rebecca is definitely one I want to get to soon! Honest!
  22. Thanks Ben, you too! Many thanks Devi, I hope you have a great reading year and a healthy one too. Thanks Brian, happy new year! It's been a while but I'm pretty sure I saw it on a best books list somewhere, it was at the time I was buying a lot of books so I wasn't being too discriminate. Still looks good to me though and I definitely will read it this year, hopefully in the next few months. I know I've seen it on other members TBR lists and wish lists so it is fairly well known. Thanks for popping in, happy new year!
  23. I Am The Messenger was brilliant, hope you enjoy it too, happy new year!
