  1. Oh my, definitely, for me at least, I have a real aversion to snow, I've always hated the cold, even as a child I refused to build snowmen! But I had a wipe out in my car some years ago when taking my son to pre school and it now means I refuse to drive anywhere as soon as we get any snow so we are effectively stuck in the village! To cheer myself up I dug out this pic, it was taken a few years ago when all my dogs were fit enough to climb our local hill and jump on 'their' rock, every time we reached the top of the hill they would jump on for a photo opportunity/biscuit, we have so many of them on their, sometimes with kids too!!
  2. Ok, here are our library cards, I have 2 boys and a girl and they fit their stereotypes pretty well these days so you can probably tell which card belong to who (whom?) They do have nice adult cards now but I haven't bothered changing over yet, I think it only costs a couple of pounds so I may do so, our library system needs all the money it can get! I really need to figure out how to make the pictures smaller, sorry for taking up so much space on your thread frankie..
  3. She's not too fussed by it but prefers to be in the warm on one of our beds! Obi loves it, particularly snowballs, unfortunately he eats them so he spends the rest of the day asking to go out for lots of wees!
  4. Great interview Michelle, I'm looking forward to this one!
  5. Dingos aren't very big but are fairly wiry and strong (Obi is in fact descended from Dingos) but being a pack animal they could work together to carry off prey, like wolves though they would not seek human prey as they are naturally fearful of humans but if a child wandered into their midst who knows. I think during that case the searchers thought they would at least find some remains but wolves (and I'm assuming Dingos too) will eat pretty much an entire carcass and bury anything they cannot eat so there are no trails left..
  6. Midnight in Paris, twas okay...
  7. Inside Death Row with Trevor McDonald..
  8. Big fan of Mr Mikel but Obi is named after a blue rainforest bird after I spent ages googling 'blue' names as he is a blue Cattle Dog, it was a complete waste of time as most people assume he is named after Obi Wan Kenobi!!! In fact we often call him Obi Wan!! She doesn't really have a choice as she doesn't have a litter tray, but she doesn't seem to mind too much... She is beautiful but appearances can be deceiving, she is a feisty madam!!
  9. And my Obi, it's a bit blurry, the only time he is occasionally still is when he sleeps!
  10. Jessica is lovely Michelle, I hope she has many happy years with you. This was Candyfloss today in the snow..
  11. He used to like it when he was younger, not so fond anymore, Obi loves it though but he's harder to take pics of as he doesn't stand still, his favourite game is catching snowballs! Thanks Bree, it looks lovely until it all turns to slush! You're welcome to take some, but sadly it doesn't look like that anymore, the kids had a snowball fight out front and destroyed it!
  12. We have adult and child cards too, the children are able to choose card with various designs, dogs, footballers etc.. It's 50p a reservation here in Surrey, it used to be £1 but it was reduced last year.. If you have a child's card it's free though.. Same goes for overdue fees, the children don't get charged.
  13. I know, all the kids clubs this weekend have been cancelled so it would be nice to sit home and watch some footie, hopefully there'll still be some games on?
  14. Lots of snow here! Dylan isn't impressed ..
  15. Steve used to work at Luton Airport (as it was called then!) and it used to close at the merest covering of snow!! It used to be a nightmare trying to direct the planes to somewhere they could land! Lots of snow here, I'm not too far from June and we have at least 2 inches here.. School letting kids go at 1.25pm, just hoping the buses can navigate the fearsome Red Road!
  16. Schools finishing at lunch time so now I'm getting calls from friends who work! Four extra kids for this afternoon so far, I do envy those of you having a quite snow day reading!

  18. Lots in West Surrey now!
  19. Lots of snow here already, waiting to here from secondary school as to if and when they will close...
  20. Yes, I am in awe.. how many pages was that?! I am still enjoying The Wolf Within, although not all the information is new to me it's very interesting to read about a man that has dedicated his entire adult life to the beautiful wolf.
  21. You send half your heat and we'll send half our snow... How's that for a deal?
  22. Snow is heading our way now, but not forecast to properly start until the kids are at school so that could be interesting with the school buses!
  23. Les Miserables, just fantastic, Hugh Jackman was so so good and the time flew, I want to see it again now!!
  24. Stunning pics Bree, did you take them all yourself? I particularly like the dogs, looks like he has some Tibetan Mastiff in him. I didn't realise the Himalayas went into India, if I'm looking at the map which side of Nepal are you?
  25. It's on the wish list!!
