  1. Another earthquake yesterday morning, fortunately it was not too strong.. we're still trying to recover from the one of last year. Maybe our Earth is telling she can't really cope with the north-east of Italy.
  2. Thank you so much.. words can't really express how much you're helping me, Pontalba.
  3. Ok, Karsa I definitely have something in common with you too: I love the music you post in here, it's enterteining. So.. thank you.
  4. Yeah, I have one.. but you can borrow it only if you take me to Ireland with you.
  5. Yes.. it's great!! My hair are growing again, I can ride a bike and do loooong walk. I really feel born again. I know it won't be easy, my disease will give me good and bad days, but I'm in a good period right now and I'm enjoying it as much as I can.
  6. I'm starting to losing weight again after the surgery of last year. I can take my pills again now, so things are going better. I lost 6 pounds in the last 2 weeks and my insulin is not too high.
  7. You won't believe me, but I'm watching A-Team.. the series, not the movie. Mr.T ..
  8. Pulp.. how long since I last listened to them. I loved Disco 2000, it was one of those songs I used to listened on the bus to school.
  9. I don't know how many italians do funny voice to talk to their pets.. but here is the embarassing part of me. I buy horrible, disgusting socks everytime I can find a pair. Striped are my favourite BUT only if the colours didn't match.. such as purple and orange or shocking green and scarlett. I love socks with cartoons characters too .. well, most of the time socks are hidden from views, obviously, but try to imagine the looks doctors give to my feet whenever they have to visit me!! What is more.. I imagine myself in a music video when I walk with my mp3 on. Oh my.. I can't believe I really write it down.
  10. I am so sorry Chaliepud!! It's a real, great, painful loss. I'm with you and your family. I know what it means: one of my dogs passed away 2 months ago and we're still crying. It's so sad. I'm so sorry.
  11. Finished The casual vacancy, J. Rowling: I have to admit she knows how to buildt up realistic characters, even the more disgusting ones. I'll go to the library tomorrow to request Dry by Augusten Burroughs because the book is in another library.. in the meantime I'm reading an essay of an italian journalist on the economic crisis.
  12. It won't be so easy, seeing each others I mean, because there will be 900 km between us and italian situation is tragic right now: I could reach him by plane or with a 2 days travel by ferry.. but the costs are definitely too high, I couldn't afford them even if I had a job. We'll phone and keep in touch, obviously. In the mean time I hope this economic crisis will finish: last year 146.000 firms closed in Italy, 40% of the population is unemployed and governement has no money for doles or unemployment compensations. Something has to change or this crisis will kill Italy. We can't simply go on like this.. things can only be better.
  13. Sad news today: a good friend of mine told me he has to go back to his parents because he's not able to pay the rent. He cames from Sardinia, a wonderful island.. but so far from here I'm afraid we couldn't see each others once he's back. Ok, we have the net and phones and so on, but we won't see a movie together or spend the night talking. I wish I could help him.
  14. I really love Pearl Jam!! Eddie Vedder's voice is so amazing! It seems we have a lot in common Frankie, don't we?
  15. Which audiobook, Miss Mabel? I'm listening to my old cds now.. and this is one of my favourite
  16. Here is one more cover. The original first and now the cover
  17. Thank you so much Frankie for the precious advice!! I'll let you know my next chioce, ok?
  18. Emelee, dear, I can only say that there are some wonderful people here who will help you a lot as they helped me. If I could have hugged them personally, I surely would! You're still studying, maybe when you'll finish, you will find a good job and start living your life. And you're right, 30 is just a number!
  19. Yes, I think I'll read something else written by him because I really liked Running with Scissors .. any advice, Frankie? And .. thank you.
  20. Gilmore Girls.. Dean and Jess are fighting for Rory right now.
  21. No "job" today (if you call a job helping teens with their homework) because I don't feel ok.. so I started and finished Running with Scissors by Augusten Borroughs.. liked it, but it's so harsh in some passages I had to force myself through.
  22. I re-read it a couple of weeks ago and I enjoyed it really much. I think it's one of those books you can just love or hate.. personally I adore it! I'm finishing Mama Tandoori (I believe it has the same title in english too) by Ernest Van der Kwast: it's really funny.. I hope the end won't be disappointing.
  23. In a few minutes I'll have spaghetti with tomato sauce.. gnam!
