  1. You should, Stephanie! If you do, let us know what you think. The more I pondered Breaking Dawn after finishing it, the more I wished that Stephenie Meyer hadn't even written it! Or at least I like Charlie too. I think the whole
  2. For Stephenie Meyer, apparently it is!!
  3. Is it sad to say that I've only read 3 books out of all those listed by the childrens' laureates?? Even more sad that some of them I've never heard of?! Here would be my pick: Anne of Green Gables - LM Montgomery Charlotte's Web - EB White Little Women - Louisa May Alcott A Wrinkle in Time - Madeleine L'Engle The Little Match Girl - Hans Christian Andersen
  4. You haven't read the first one at all Stephanie or are you just waiting for your own copy so you can re-read? I re-read New Moon over again this past weekend - well, chunks of it! All this movie coverage is making me anxious. I'll probably feel like reading it again before the film comes out though, which isn't until Nov.
  5. Do you think there would be copyright issues if you made a bunch and sold them??!! How could they know it was from Twilight?! You can't regulate inside jokes, man!
  6. Me, me, me!!! ROFL I love it, Roxi!
  7. You guys are crazy!! There is basically not enough Cullen men to go around, that much is clear. I think clones are in order and then we can all declare ourselves to be on Team Jascobardislett. Oh, and Carlisle in his baseball uniform, right?! Dittos on Alice, btw. She had lots of good scenes in NM book, so hopefully we'll see that in the film.
  8. Bonkers, yes, but in loovvvveee! Can I have a hybrid of Edward and Jasper please?? I want a Jasward!
  9. I must admit that many things bug me, but the majority of them fall in the general driving/parking category. Lack of signaling, pulling out in front of me when there are no cars behind me, and not knowing how to obey a yield sign. Parking crooked in a parking lot bugs me immensely, or parking so close to the line that you can't park next to them for fear of getting your door dinged. Oh, and discovering I'm out of cream when I've just poured a steaming hot cup of coffee!
  10. Tonight for me will probably be a boring salad since I forgot to take anything out of the freezer, darn it! And probably popcorn...
  11. Hiya, Natty, and welcome to the best book forum this side of anywhere .
  12. Awwww we love Jasper! He's a babe!
  13. My name is Peace, and I am a Twilight late bloomer . I read the books just this year, and saw the film within a few days of it coming out on DVD. I'm seriously concerned about what I'm going to do when NM comes out though, because I do not want to be the only 30-something in the theatre! I won't be able to wait until the DVD, no way. Maybe I can go on a day off when there'll be other shame-faced older women there and no screaming teens...
  14. Thank GOODNESS for that!!!!
  15. While I've never heard the original Hendrix version, I am forever hooked on Chris Cornell singing this song. He did it with Mike McCready, Jeff Ament and Matt Cameron for a Hendrix tribute album. If you have the opportunity, try and find this song to take a listen - you won't be disappointed! Hey Baby (Land of the New Rising Sun) So now you've caught on Hey baby, where do you, comin' from, Boy she looked at me and smiled, And looked into space And she said, 'I'm comin' from the land of new rising sun' And I said, 'hey, baby where you tryin' to go to' Then she says, 'I'm gonna spread around peace of mind And a whole lotta love to you and you' Hey girl I'd like to come along Yes, I'd love to come along 'Would you like to come along?' She asked me 'Yes take me along right now' Hey baby, can I step into your world a while? 'Yes you can' she said 'Come on back with me for a while We're gonna go across the Jupiter sun And see all your people one by one You gotta help your people out right now That's what I'm doin' it all about' 'Yeah yeah, may I come along? May I come along? May I come along? Yeah yeah Please take me'
  16. Good luck, Dan! Be sure to let us know what you think!
  17. Happy hour food for me tonight, LOL. Meaning not healthy, but eh, I deserve it!
  18. I've been reading Twilight ones as well lately, Lexie, but am still sorting through all the good and bad, LOL. I have found a few gems though. I also read quite a bit of West Wing FF, and I have a good friend who reads a lot of Starsky & Hutch stuff if you can believe it. Some of the people still writing have been around since the show began.
  19. I would have to say Frost as well. Ever since I had to commit to memory his 'Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening' when I was in middle school I have been a great fan. My dad used to keep copies of a bunch of his poems up on the walls of his shop too, so I guess it was a family-wide appreciation .
  20. Hey there and welcome, anubhuti! Glad you've joined us .
  21. OOPS! Sorry guys, New Moon = Breaking Dawn. That was just my unconscious wishes manifesting themselves .
  22. Totally!! This is why I have resorted to reading fan fiction. I think they did say that about Rosalie and Emmett, Miss, . I read a snippet online somewhere how they not sure about how to deal with the Like there's much in the book to be concerned over!
  23. ROFL Roxi! Hilarious! Yeah, SM's books lack details on many important things, , being the two most important, IMO. Guess that goes along the YA vein, though. Let's all write her to convince her to write a version to our liking! YEAH!!
  24. Wow, lots of head-banging posts to catch up on, and I was even here for a bit yesterday! I agree with all of you, btw .
  25. The county I live in has many libraries, and one of the large ones is right by work so it's easy for me to go there. I don't check out a ton of books, but use it more for the free wireless hookup (since I don't have internet at home), scanning photos and I do check out the occasional book on tape. The big library downtown has a great genealogy section that I use, but they charge an obscene amount of $$ for parking and that annoys me. Oh, and I love going to the state historical society library. They have a ton of stuff in their collection and it really helps in my tree research.
