  1. Way ahead of you Kell. I'm having a huge pot o' chili in a few minutes!
  2. I have started to get into it. In the past I have read mostly straight on historical books - but I needed to mix it up a bit. I have been reading Ken Follet's the Pillars of the Earth on and off. So far it has been a fantastic book. A long read - but fantastic nonetheless.
  3. I went with "Lion" - its the only one I remember reading!
  4. I went with the Da Vinci code. So cliche.
  5. I have such a backlog of books that I often find myself reading more than one at a time. I really enjoy buying books - is getting out of control.
  6. The Bell Jar stuck with me too. I have always been curious about human psychology - and that book certainly interested me. (I even read the DSM-IV - the manual of psychological disorders. Now there is a bizarre read!)
  7. I love forums like this one. You can get tons of really specific information across a wide variety of genres. Fantastic resource. So the descriptions and the reviews that I read on forums are my reason for buying a book.
  8. So far the only time I have tried an audiobook was while I was driving. It's hard to concentrate on the book while you are going up and down the highway screaming at all of the terrible drivers.
  9. I used to like his work when I was a kid. He was never a great writer but he always developed good concepts. Ever since his accident he has gone downhill in a big way.
  10. Recently I have been getting into Baudelaire (again). What is your favorite poet (or poem)?
  11. I am definitely the only reader. Most of the people that I come in contact with describe themselves as "visual learners". When I was in college I just read the books for my grades - teachers were all but useless. I just prefer to read!
