  1. Yeah I've seen the trailer for Lovely Bones too, Inver, and it looks well done. I was excited to see the trailer for Sherlock Holmes before NM and that looked excellent! I'm even more looking forward to seeing that one come Christmas Day.
  2. Just watching the local news right now, in between stirring the chili and wading through stuff. Later I'll probably watch Extreme Home Makeover.
  3. A bunch of us watched Monster Camp the other night and laughed ourselves silly. It was a sort of documentary on people who call themselves L.A.R.P.ers (live action role players) and was just a film of them going on a weekend near Seattle to act out a battle of sorts. Those people were really into their characters!
  4. Hmmm that's a tough question! I agree though about I did like the addition of I'll have to think more on the things I missed. I'm still in a bit of a daze .
  5. Can you check it out again, Catwoman? Just to read a little bit more and see if you can get into it? It's well worth it IMO .
  6. Had an amazing dinner out last night for my friend's birthday at a place that specializes in food from countries near the equator. We had empanadas, potstickers, lettuce wraps and the most delicious shrimp on the planet! Oh and a dark chocolate brownie for desert . Tonight it's white bean and chicken chili for me - lots of leftovers for the week too!
  7. I agree, Chesilbeach. The whole scene had a very 'epic' feel to it and Weitz did an excellent job imo. I remember watching an interview with him where he said that was his favorite scene to film and also one he was looking forward to having the fans see.
  8. Great review, Charm! I'm so glad you liked it . I read an article saying that Howe is planning a sequel to this one so I'm looking forward to that. The Book 'The Heretic's Daughter' by Kathleen Kent has been talked of much on here so that is probably one you want to pick up if you want to read more on this subject matter. I need to get my hands on it one of these days!
  9. It was a crazy week and what little reading I did was a re-read of New Moon before Thursday night. I read quite a big chunk of The Lost Symbol this afternoon though and I'm still enjoying it (despite now wanting to re-read Eclipse ).
  10. Fi, can't wait to hear your thoughts! When are you going to see it, Stephanie? I'm bouncing too in anticipation for you to see it too!! Now that you mention it, Weave, it was sort of odd when I did get a chuckle during I was thinking today about other fave parts I had, and
  11. Mike did look different in this one. I thought it was funny too that he was bored during Romeo & Juliet in class (whilst Eric was bawling!) yet he wanted to see a romantic comedy at the theatre. His exchanges with Jacob were funny . I honestly thought I would tear up at but didn't, even though it was very emotional. I think the closest I came was when My favorite parts were I agree about I love Michael Sheen too! He was perfect as Aro, just seeming so put-out yet giggly about certain things. I also liked that they brought back a few scenes from the first movie, like I love too that Bella tells Charlie to be careful and he says one of his old lines, "always am." I think the music from the soundtrack worked really well. When I saw it again yesterday I was trying to pay attention to which scenes they put which songs in, and I love what they did.
  12. I get easily annoyed if people don't stop talking as soon as the theatre goes dark. Even if it's just for the trailers, I keep wanting to say to people 'shut up and pay attention!' For some reason I don't mind cheering and reaction to things though. I think it just makes the whole experience more fun for me. One thing I did notice was at the part where Both times I've seen the film the crowd laughed at this part, which I don't think was the intention! Do you guys remember the fan reaction? It stuck out in my mind because I thought this was one of the cheesy parts and my first reaction was to laugh too. And weren't photos of this scene leaked and we were told this was one of Bella's dream sequences? Anyway, there were many funny lines in this one which is one of the main things I loved. You can see Chris Weitz's sense of humor in all of it too. Aro was hilarious, as were Bella's school friends and even Harry Clearwater! I love Charlie saying he was a 'ladies man' too or something to that effect . Jacob's character was tolerable, I just don't see the hype because big muscle-y types never did it for me and I just don't find that bulky look attractive. I'm big on brooding I guess .
  13. Hey there and welcome to BCF, Amika! Glad you joined us .
  14. I saw it for a second time this afternoon:lurker:. Decidedly more Team Edward peeps in the crowd too which was fine by me, and even a couple big cheers for Charlie .
  15. No of course it's not bad! I mean the way the ended NM it makes you want to see Eclipse like, yesterday! But hopefully the next 6 months will zoom by. I'm there with you on the DVD marathon and commentary, Chesilbeach! Hilarious Weave, 'why would I?!' I love it! Yay Kimmy, can't wait for you to see it!
  16. Woohoo glad you liked it, Weave! Excellent photo too!! You look lovely together . I'll have to take a pic of my lovely commemorative NM giant cup and Edward chocolates! I had a chuckle at a few tee shirts that read 'What if I'm not the hero?' on the front and 'What if I'm the bad guy?' on the back. There were too many Jacob fans in the theatre for my liking since every. single. time. he came on screen they swooned. I yelled 'yuck!' at one point . I know, very mature. There were just as many Edward fans though, and can I just say I would happily be on Team Charlie's b-squad?! He was hilarious!
  17. Awww poor John Cusack; he hasn't had a good movie since Grosse Pointe Blank, has he? Oh wait, I did love High Fidelity and Serendipity... Okay, my friend and I are texting, trying to decide which showing of NM to go to again this afternoon . Sad but true!
  18. Hey there and welcome to BCF, Adrienne! Hope you like it here with us .
  19. Fi! Well, now you know at least 3 of us that absolutely loved it so there's no way you can be disappointed! And the thing you were most worried about happening? Not even a hint . Not in my eyes anyway. Oh! And they showed a trailer for 'Remember Me' beforehand! Did anyone else get to see that? I was trying to decide whilst watching it if it was a movie I would normally see even if RP wasn't in it, and I think I might. He's just icing on the cake .
  20. Wooo Chesilbeach!! I couldn't have said that all better myself . I would love to go back and see it today, it was all around amazingness! I can't wait for everyone else to see it too! I hope you get to go Monday, Stephanie, this one cannot be delayed .
  21. OMGGGGGG x 1000!!! Ditto, have a good time everyone! Trust me, you'll enjoy it . Okay I'm going to bed now .
  22. Awww Good things come to those who wait!!
  23. Thanks, Fi!! You guys have a wonderful time too at your shows, and then we can all come in here and squee together! I'll give a spoiler-free report as soon as I can .
  24. An OMG scale, yeah! But really, can you honestly see me hating it?! Won't happen. 1 OMGs: Chris Weitz should retire forever 2-3 OMGs: Meh, at least we can wait for the DVD commentary 4-5 OMGs: Awesome! I need to see it again. 6 or more OMGs: ::sob:: If RP asked me to strip for him I totally would! ::sob:: Does that work for you guys? OMG that was freaky, Paula! Everyone here is on the same sparkly wavelength now!
  25. Woo-hoo Lexie, yay!! I agree about all getting together and renting out a theatre. Oh if money were no object! I'd love to see it with all you guys . I want 12:01am tomorrow to get here very, very quickly! So far the day is dragging though. My friend and I have our tix and are planning on showing up about 11 tonight, hoping against hope that there's not a too long line of screaming tweens. If I come in here I won't spoil anything I promise! I might just have to come in and say a couple OMGs or something . Are you sure you have to wait until next week, Stephanie?? No time tomorrow during the day to go by yourself?
