  1. Of course Roswell! haha, love that show. And Joan of Arcadia is a classic!
  2. Thanks - YA stands for Young Adult... the kind of inbetween genre. Not quite kids books and not quite hard hitting adult books, mor elike teen lit.
  3. Yes, she was - but blonde! Don't be ashamed, Elf was an amazing film... ok, ok, so I'm the only person who thinks so, but still!
  4. Yeah, the book was written by a Scottish Author. It's one of those ones that's been on my Wishlist for so long, I don't know what's stopping me from buying it! You should look into getting it! I love spirited away and Kiki's delivery service! I still haven't seen Ponyo though! I need to buy it and add it to my collection!
  5. Loving this place!

glad you like it here yes it's great

  6. there are loads of good choices here - the Vampire Academy books are brilliant, there are 5 in total. Also the Shiver/ Linger books are brill and hush, hush and crescendo... But if I were you I would go for VA. The romance is fab and the action is amazing! these are my favorite books in a series by far!
  7. I saw someone put Shadow of the Wind - I would also recommend this book. I was just telling my boyf about it and trying to get him to read it, it has it all - romance, mystery, crime, adventure and action!
  8. I don't know if I agree. I never judge a book by it's author really. If it's written well and you enjoy it it doesn't matter if it was a young author or an older author. I don't nessesarily believe just because someone is older they have more to contribute to a book, or have a better writing style, in fact - quite the opposite. I know some old authors who get stuck in ruts and their writing seems stale because they don't challenge themselves and their characters are predictable. Sometimes it's nice to see a young author writing something fresh - change the rules a bit and just give it a go. I would hate to think someone wouldn't want to try to publish work because they felt like they weren't old enough to give their best. You should give your best with everything you write... does that make sense?
  9. It is a great series. I'm always annoyed when people comment about them being 'kids' books. They totally are not! haha. It's a pet peeve! Thanks for the welcome - looking forward to getting stuck in - I have been looking for a book forum to get involved in, and I stumbled onto this one and loved the look of it!
  10. haha - love it. Or weirdo is as weirdo does. Aren't we all wierd? In our own way? but does that make us normal!? Whenever I read a book I get SO caught up in it, it's like it's real life. When I finish reading I get a little bit depressed, like I'll never see my friends again. The real world isn't as fun. Well, I suppose it is for some people, but I'm a boring person so I suffer! haha! Ps. What's your favorite Ghibli movie? I loved howls moving castle and really want to read the book!
  11. The ultimate choice... board game... I think! T-shirt or jumper?
  12. I don't know about you but I'm a huge fan of Zooey Deschanel. She's just so adorable! She has a new TV show coming out soon, called The New Girl (trailer here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qqojuj1zoU) Have any of you heard about it? looking forward to it? I think it looks hilarious!
  13. I do like zombie movies, but I wasn't a fan of the walking dead... just didn't think it was that exciting!
  14. I can't wait for Hunger Games, and I can't believe they are making Shiver into a movie... but I can at the same time. Oh how I loved that book! I'm one of those people that worries about books being turned into films though - not because they could be bad, but because I don't like people jumping on badwagons just because a film is being made... even though that's what I did with I am Number 4. Watched the film, read the book.... I'm such a weirdo! haha. Excited about these though - I love adaptations!
  15. Buffy has to be my alltime favorite show, closly followed by Twin Peaks, stargate SG1, firefly... oh how the list goes on, but Buffy sits proudly at the tip top!!
