  1. I just started watching the TV show, Fringe. I have only watched the first 2 episodes, but I love it already... Going to watch a couple more before I hit the hay!
  2. no problem with the spamming - I thought they were either really into the book they were posting about, or else some fool - I went with the latter :P

  3. When alchemist Sydney is ordered into hiding to protect the life of Moroi princess Jill Dragomir, the last place she expects to be sent is a human private school in Palm Springs, California. But at their new school, the drama is only just beginning. Populated with new faces as well as familiar ones, Bloodlines explores all the friendship, romance, battles and betrayals that made the #1 New York Times bestselling Vampire Academy series so addictive - this time in a part-vampire, part-human setting where the stakes are even higher and everyone's out for blood. This book was just out yesterday - I haven't read it yet (my pre-ordered copy still hasn't turned up. But just wanted to start this to see what peoples thoughts are on the new series, what you hope to see etc. I for one, am glad that Eddie and Adrien have a leading role - love those guys!
  4. reading 'Bitten' by Kelley Armstrong... loving it. Waiting for a new book in the post at the moment! I hate waiting!
  5. OOh yes, I know of the book but never read it - should I read it first? I kind of want to... was it good?
  6. I'm in such a 'blah' mood... work tomorow :( urgh!

  7. I actually liked this newer show. the judges were a nice change - loving tulisa and kelly at the moment, not sure if they'll grate on the old nerves after a while. Loving Louis as usual, just because he's hilariously foolish! I wasn't all that impressed with that girl Janet, not because she couldn't sing, because I'm sure she can... but why they would praise an irish girl for mimicing that awful london accent singing people are doing at the moment, I have no clue- why mimic someone elses voice? it's just a little bit annoying, all in all it was a great show though - looking forward to the series!
  8. Aye, I was worried about the whole remake thing, as the original was SO clever and I was worried about how much of the story they had changed, but I have to admit, I really enjoyed it and I didn't think I would. They take the original story into consideration, I mean, I'm not going to say they didn't change it for their own benefit, but the changes they did make were kind of nice, and fitting, and worked well! I recommend!
  9. ooooh, some people really rub me up the wrong way!!!

    1. pickle

      pickle

I know the feeling best to ignore them and not sink to their level

    2. BloodyNine

      BloodyNine

Or hide tuna in there car =)

  10. Well of course, I love Dimitri, but him and rose were MFEO, so even in my head I couldn't break them apart hahahaha! he's such a hunk though! Me and my sister always dream of meeting a Dimitri... even though we're both in relationships! hehe!
  11. Hi Green, nice to see you in here, I'm new so I don't recognise you but I'll look forward to seeing you around the random chat areas, and hopefully in the more booky areas (once I get my bearings)
  12. I saw Rise of the Apes at the weekend which I would give 5 stars. It was brilliant, and that's coming from me.. I both dislike apes and films about apes, but it was great! Also saw capt. America, and thought it was mediocre. the only reason I watch the marvel films is because Joss Whedon is directing The Avengers!
  13. I read these as well, and loved them! I remember reading My Girl and Free Willy as a kid, and loved those as it gave the characters more appeal and the story seemed more real to me... god they were good! One of the best movie to book books I have read was The Game, which was a film with Michael Douglas. My boyfriend was adamant that it was a film first but was sure it wasn't... turns out he was right (After a lot of digging around!) - but that was fantastic!
  14. The michael J fox autobiography was probably the best non fiction book I've ever read (or, most likely, the only one.. I can't remember) - but it's just such an amazingly written account of his life from his early career to his parkinson's disease... I couldn't recommend the book more!
  15. I agree - they wrecked the movie... I mean, how could they get it SO wrong? the material was already written... bad choice of actors and really poor screenplay adaptation, it's a crime! hehe.
  16. DITTO. I loved them, and the film should (hopefully) be good. I'm writing a screenplay version, just for fun at the moment, and I'm falling in love with the story all over again. I also can't wait for BloodLines, the spin off... Adrian is going to be a main character and I love me some adrian! haha!
  17. haha, I also have a problem with Accio. I say it like 'ass-io', but I know in the films they say ack-io. which to me is wrong, and also, me being a stupid blonde, I never could think of Seamus as 'shay-mus'... I just read his name as see-mus.... because thats how its spelt... these silly books, eh?
  18. I don't know if I agree with it being all about her name... she is a fantastic story teller, who just happens to have shot into the public arena because of the books/ films success - sure she'd get people judging before she published anything new... but you could hardly call her a one hit wonder, each and every one of the books in the series was a stand alone story in its own right, and fantastically written and thought out.
  19. hah - book sniffing, they should have a re-hab for kindle users, to help them leave books behind!
  20. I loved Blade Runner, but I think it was a far fetched version of Do Andriods Dream... I wish they would re-make it now, but with a truer script. They changed so much in the BR film it was mental. Still, I'm pretty much in love with Harrison Ford, so I can't knock it too much!
  21. when my mother calls me to ask what I would like her to get me from the supermaket. I say quorn and vegatables. She only gets quorn... so I have literally NO dinner for a week.
  22. haha- it wasn't as bad as people made out I don't think... it could have been better but it wasn't the worst thing I've seen!
  23. listening to the Suckerpunch OST as well as Jed Whedon - whos music is just lovely!
  24. thanks! I haven't done any research into them yet, so I don't know most of them are about - but as long as some of them are half decent I'll be reet as rain!
