  1. Well as I expected a dire night on Saturday, there were a few half good dances but I think the clothes and the make up get in the way, I try to look at the dance but feel the outfits get in the way and the make up you cannot see their facial expressions. I also thought carol should have been in the dance off with Kirsty, I have stopped feeling sorry for Jamelia as this is not the first time she has said that nobody likes her, I thought she would get more votes with being on Loose Women or maybe this is telling her a lot. Hope she goes soon.
  2. I have to say I am not looking forward to Halloween week I don't like all the dressing up, prefer to see the girls in their nice dresses and glitter dressed smartly so that I can take in the dances that they are doing. I am not up on all the technical stuff but I know when I see them dancing what I like and don't like. Kelly's dance this week I thought was far too quick could not keep up with them. Anton as you say I thought was not pushing his dancer (just my opinion). I love a good Paso with decent music, think it is a brilliant dance, I like all the drama that goes with it.
  3. I was born in Yorkshire, moved to Northampton then Leicestershire now Gloucestershire with a spell in Germany for work. I still don't think we are settled possible one last move on the cards
  4. I am allergic to cats, dust and have hay fever all year round. I take antihistamines all year round which helps with my allergies and I have asthma and use my inhalers twice every day. We did not realise I was allergic to cats until we got our two girls, was told to get rid of them but did not, if taking tablets and an inhaler kept everything at bay it was worth it for the joy they brought to our lives.
  5. But would anybody notice, I have just realised the one after Burn is called Alert, I might read that one quietly.
  6. Haha never thought it would read like that he sure does keep other writers in business. Got quite a back log of his books to read so will be changing the title over the coming weeks.
  7. I visited Jamaica Inn years ago and thought how quaint it was, that was before I realised it had been written about and that it was classed as very spooky. Would love to go back and see it again, maybe sometime soon.
  8. We used to really go to town at Halloween dressing the front garden up, we had a talking butler, big spiders, cob webs hanging everywhere, all the windows done up and us dressed up of course.. The kids that came to the door loved it, mind you the butler used to scare them.
  9. I too agree about the song choices for last weeks show, how on earth you can dance a Paso to beautiful day I will never know. As the weeks go by it is going to get harder and harder to pick someone to go as we all know, there are some good dancers in this years show.
  10. There are a few of the shows I used to watch which have ended which I thought came to a natural conclusion but will still miss them all the same. Defiance, Dominion and Falling Skies. But I will miss Witches of East End, Motive and Rooky Blue. I am sure there will be other shows which will take their place.
  11. Hi and thank you for the welcome, I don't come on forums very often but like to see peoples comments about things. Tonight is the night cannot wait for Flash
  12. well I thought there were people who upped their game on Saturday and some that just looked like the amateurs they are but it was only week three. I was keeping my fingers crossed for Anton and Katie what was he thinking not doing many dance moves for katie, is it because he is so used to not having anyone that can do the dancing Len got into a tizz with Georgia and Giovanni about there not being much Rumba in their dance, I thought I was very good anyway I love watching Anita and Gleb as she dances so good and wow Jay is something else dancing with Aliona. I thought his dance moves where better than someone who had just started out. Not heard if he is a total beginner or not to be honest.
  13. I have been donating my books and clothes to charity for years. I used to have a huge book collection which some I realised I would never read again and when we started getting the bags through the door It is a good way of tidying up for myself and helping someone else at the same time.
  14. I am surprised that they are going to stop selling the Kindle as this is still a useful tool to lots of people. Also glad that books sales are up, I bought quite a few books during the summer but I still like my kindle as well. I was copying long live the book

Ben I went through so many emotions watching that doubles match, it was definitely thrilling edge of the seat game, it would have been easier for me to play the match myself, but then we would definitely lost.

what a weekend of tennis, so glad that we won and have got to the final of the Davis Cup. I felt so sorry for poor Andy he was absolutely shattered. I have just heard on the radio that he is not going to play in the end of year tennis tournament so that he can get some practice in for the final which could be played on a clay court. Oh dear he could be in trouble as it is mandatory that you turn up for the end of year tennis tour where the top 8 players play each other. Lets hope to get him out of trouble the tournament in Belgium is played on an indoor hard court.

Well wasent that a better match, I agree it seems to be the team that has batted first has seemed to have had the better chance. With it going on so late was wondering if there was going to be a problem with dew on the grass, I don't think there was too many slips was there. Those two catches I thought were exceedingly good, the finn and Roy ones. I must admit I watched those a few times. I was disappointed with the 3rd umpire for not realising it was a reflex action, (i'm being polite here) with so many injuries in recent years you would have thought it would have been looked at a bit kinder.
  20. I never used to watch the GBBO but really getting into the spirit of it now. The good thing about having Sky is that you can catch up with past series, although they don't show the series in any sort of order so now watched series 1 and 4. Love the comments between Mel and Sue I find them so funny.

I hope it is a good match for you on Friday Ben, just remembered there is a match on today, we are batting first so lets hope and fingers crossed. Personally I prefer the T20's Chesilbeach, prefer how fast and furious they can be.

What a total waste of time watching the last two one dayers have been. I think they all ought to be told they are going to lose their places unless they pull their socks up. (so there)
  23. There are a few shows that I am into at the moment: Defiance Falling Skies Dominion Frustration last night I went to watch the last two episodes of Series 3 of Motive which I had taped from sky, only to find that it was the same episode even though it said episode 12 and episode 13. hopefully I can find the last episode to watch it
  24. Spiritualist Medium Rev Colin Fry has sadly passed away, went to see him last month when he told us he had cancer Sad
