  1. I bought World War Z and will get to it before the movie. If you want a fun, zombie-related read, try Zombie Fallout by Mark Tufo. Review is on my Reading Log. It's certainly not a book to be taken seriously, but it is a lot of fun!
  2. I've got the week off, and I'm going to (hopefully) be studying for most of it, but I shall try to squeeze some fun reading in there too.
  3. I've added Still Missing to my wishlist. It's a shame it's not available on Kindle. If it's comparable to Red Leaves then it must be good, as I found that book amazing.
  4. That's a good idea, Chesil. I may have to try that.
  5. Chicken and chorizo jambalaya. I've just printed the recipe off to take home. Looks pretty simple.
  6. I've brought my Kindle into work to read, but I can't concentrate on it with others around, so I shall have to leave my reading till tonight!
  7. I'm really enjoying Human Remains; it's going in an unexpected and unusual direction I think. I just wish I had more time to read it. I have exams next month so am in panic mode and seem to spend most of my time studying. I still managed at least 30 minutes a night for reading, but really wish I had more time!
  8. Rewatching Homeland. Can't find anything else to watch.
  9. Thanks chaliepud and Athena. He's going in for 'the snip' in a weeks time. I'm trying not to think about it as it's making me a bit anxious.
  10. I didn't win the lottery last night. How annoying!

      Neither did we..

  11. I started Human Remains by Elizabeth Hayes last night. It kept me up far longer than I intended (which is a good sign)!
  12. Taken today on a lovely woodland walk. Who's a handsome fella then?
  13. Nice day today, or at least the sun is out but it's still cold. We went to the beach yesterday, but it was very windy and choppy and we got soaked by a big wave. . We ended up sitting in the car with the heating on for half an hour before deciding to go home as we were all miserable. Today we'll stay on dry land. There's some woodland (which is also a burial ground) nearby which is open for dogs so we will take Reuben on a run through there, then we are going to do a bit of exploring around the touristy bits near our local area to see if there is anything interesting. Gotta take advantage of the sun while it's out!
  14. Welcome Dominik!
  15. Welcome Mallow!
  16. That's incredible footage. The aurora is amazing, as are the lightning flashes too.
  17. That's quite a comprehensive list with books from all genres to all age groups. I like to see variety like that in lists, rather than the same books trotted out over and over. Of those I've read 41, and there's quite a few on there that I have on my TBR pile too.
  18. Oooh, that looks really good.
  19. You've done a lot better than I have then!

    Book News!

Awesome, I love her books! I'm going to stick it on my wishlist, rather than buy it until I get through more books on my TBR pile.
  21. Finished The Rats. It was ok, a bit corny, but readable.
  22. I think the PDFs can be converted using Calibre as well, then you don't have such a problem with small font.
  23. Except you might want to change the year to 2013. Still on The Rats - about 3/4 through now, so hopefully will finish it tonight. Then I have to look at my reading plan as I've forgotten which books I want to read next.
  24. I'm about a third through The Rats. Gory stuff, but I'm not finding it too scary as I've never had a thing about rats.
  25. Finished Bridget Jones' Diary. Fluffy fun which is just what I needed, though I think I prefer the movie Moved on to The Rats by James Herbert. It's a short book, just over 200 pages so I'm hoping I will finish it today.
