I'm studying CIMA (Management Accounting). I've got a few years ahead of me still, and will be so glad when it's over. Completely agree with you on dog walking - it really clears your head!

^ I don't know, I'm probably being paranoid about the thought of running out of space. I love the bundled 3DS as well, but it's a bit more expensive than a regular 3DS XL, so I'm really undecided. Oh well, I've got about a month to decide what to do. I also want to get the Super Mario Bros game for the 3DS, even though I still haven't finished the one for my normal DS.

May has been rubbish because all I've been doing is studying. I've become obsessed, to the point of dreaming and talking in my sleep about it. Exams are in just over a week and I will be so relieved when they are done with (for this term anyway). But I've still managed to squeeze in a bit of reading and exploring the local area (there are so many woodland walks!) with my husband and doggy.

Yup, back to rainy days again.

Hello and welcome to the forum! If you liked Carl Sagan's Cosmos (which is a very good read, along with Pale Blue Dot - also by him), how about giving Contact a go? It's his only non-fiction book, and combines the science vs. religion discussion quite well. It was also made into a movie with Jodie Foster. Or how about science-fiction, if you are interested in science but would like to branch off into fiction? The choices are endless really, and I'm sure you'll pick up some great recommendations from the forum.

I didn't see the ending coming at all, so it was a great surprise. I figured there had to be some kind of twist, but I didn't guess that one.

The two that come to mind are Helter Skelter by Vincent Bugliosi and Homicide: A Year on the Killing Streets by David Simon. I have read quite a few true crime books but those two are the ones which stand out. Oh, just remembered another one: Mindhunter by John Douglas. Really heavy stuff but so, so fascinating.

That was my feelings on the book. It was just too quirky for my tastes.

I do end up averaging 50 books a year, but I read them unevenly rather than at a steady pace. Sometimes I can read a book in one or two days, but other times it can take me several weeks. It all depends what else I have going on at the time.

Yay - a fellow Animal Crossing fan! I have to admit that I haven't played Wild World in a long time (over a year or so), but when I did play it, I was on there every day. I loved the change of seasons because you would get new insects and fish, and also the special days. So awesome! I'm definitely looking forward to New Leaf. I'm thinking of getting the 3DS bundle as well (I love the pattern on the 3DS) but apparently you don't get an actual cartridge of the game - it's pre-installed. I read somewhere that it's a problem because you may run out of space or something?? Also, what if the 3DS crashes and if your game isn't saved to a cartridge, you lose it all. So, I'm still undecided about the bundle or getting it as a single. Either way, I can't wait till it comes out.

Not read any of those, but Wool has been on my wishlist for a while.

I'm only about 65% through it so I shall refrain from answering the questions until I have finished. This is a re-read for me, but I have to admit I've forgotten how it ends so I'm a bit intrigued that you say it is surprising. I'm enjoying it as much the second time around, but it is a long and complex read. I shall comment more once I finish it.

So.....who's addicted to Candy Crush Saga? I am. I haven't had much time to play games (aside from quick Facebook ones) lately, but a new version of Animal Crossing is coming out for the 3DS. I'm considering getting one as I loved the Animal Crossing: Wild World. Anyone else looking forward to this one?

We will be having Cornish Pasties with beans and sausages.

I used to just pick what I felt like at the time, but as a result a lot of books tended to linger around unread as I seemed to go for more recently purchased ones. Now I've decided to do a reading plan of 6 - 7 books at a time, and stick with it. I thought I would find it too restrictive, but it actually takes the stress out of trying to pick the next book (and yes, I do get stressed over it, silly as it sounds ).

Gorgeous outside. I have washing on the line and I'm about to take Reuben out. Just need to decide where - woodland, field, or beach.
