  1. Yeah, cos those real life dragons always stay still when they're attacked
  2. John Bonham died 33 years ago today.
  3. I read the first one. It was passable, in a highly unoriginal way, but I never had any inclination to read the others
  4. Eh? The dragons in Skyrim are awesome - and they're integral to the gameplay, for a change
  5. http://www.baldursgate.com/ http://www.baldursgateii.com/ Don't think you need a particularly powerful graphics card I had both those games but never really got into them, I must admit. And Planescape Torment as well. I think my favourite RPGs were Final Fantasy IV and, most of all, Chrono Trigger. I thought Mass Effect 2 was fantastic, but wasn't so keen on the first one and have never played the third. I played a big chunk of Dragon Age and The Witcher but then stopped playing both for some reason and never went back. Same for Skyrim and Oblivion. I'm great at starting games, then my interest wanes and I never finish them
  6. Castle 6x01
  7. Have you got the new edition of Baldur's Gate? BGII is out in November, too Yeah, it's like the Batcave but with more gadgets
  8. I remember seeing this when it was on and telling everyone about it the next day. Brilliant stuff

  10. Dear Lord, I hope that doesn't mean GTA is the real world, otherwise we've got no hope
  11. But . . . But . . . Oh, you meant 'butt', didn't you? I might be joining him in a day or two
  12. I will get on with it - as soon as I finish The Sunne in Splendour . . . You should bear in mind that you're not allowed to give full marks to a book unless it's absolutely perfect. I'm not sure who decrees whether something is perfect or not, but I'm sure someone on SFF Chronicles will be happy to tell you
  13. I won't read your review of King of Thorns until next week, after I've read it, but I'm liking the score
  14. The Last of the Mohicans. Great film. I remember seeing it at the cinema and spending most of it wanting Magua to get his backside handed to him in a sling. The ending is fantastic. Love the score, too. If you haven't seen it beware, it's quite bloodthirsty https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ah9XCamPyKA
  15. I don't think there's anything extra in it, apart from an author's note at the end. They have corrected all the scanning errors, though, and I haven't encountered any of the 'Americanisms' in the dialogue that people were complaining about - and I've only got about 140 pages left to go, so I'm assuming I would have encountered them by now, as the second half of the original Kindle edition was supposed to be riddled with both. Oh, she keeps spelling 'visor' as 'vizor' on occasion, but not every time, which is odd. That's about it, really
  16. Sorry to hear about Susie, Michelle
  17. They're probably making their way across all the bridges as we speak
  18. I'm in London. I'm hoping those spiders don't come norf of da river
  19. Bites reported in London and south east due to Britain's most poisonous spider Naturally, there's a picture in the article of the spider in the article, so . . .
  20. Okay, not just film music. These two kind of go together
  21. Having a film music day John Williams has written some awesome scores over the years
  22. It can flounce back out the way it came
