  1. You dont need a box, most new TVs have freeview just built in. Everyone in my region has now been forced to 'go digital' so have Iplayer built in. Soon the whole country will be the same way. Was only trying to help anyway, I essentially don't really care nor want to get into an argument about it.
  2. The BBC Iplayer is available on your TV
  3. erm..... http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode..._5_Cold_Blood/
  4. I've read near to 100 pages of Fatherland today, which is a hell of a lot for me to read in one go, a sure sign of a great book. Robert Harris is fast becoming my favourite author.
  5. It is on the BBC Iplayer you can watch it anytime you like, if you have sky, virgin or freeview it should be an option on your TV, if not you can watch it here - http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00sm031/Doctor_Who_Series_5_Cold_Blood/
  6. Isnt 'going postal' an american slang term for when kids go on a gun rampage through schools? Abi?
  7. Shame its on Sky 1 I would have liked to have watched this. Oh well.
  8. I look forward to Dinner these day as its my only meal of the day Having Jacket potato, fish & some rice
  9. It should have been left in the 70's where it belongs, its awful. Surely there are talented groups/singers who would benefit from a show like this that each country could enter? Instead of the butlinesque camp novelty acts that are on it every year.
  10. scales are very very hit and miss. I have quite an expensive one at home as far as scales go which is designed mainly for gym use. When weighed at the hospital I was 15stone 4, according to my home one I am 14stone 1. It's not even close
  11. I have had the audiobook version of I am legend (the original not the Will Smith based abomination), and it is one of the best stories ever imo. I'm going to carry on with Fatherland today!
  12. 40 odd pages into Fatherland, not the fastest start to a book but it's getting there.
  13. I'm getting Fatherland tomorrow, looking forward to reading it over the weekend, not had much luck with books this month the two I've had have been nothing short of . Anyone read it?
  14. I've given up on medical advice, i've seen a Dietitian and my GP I dont know how many times i've lost a lot of faith in Drs lately. Started the slimfast diet this morning, cold coffee flavoured milkshake, lovely Had my first shake about 2 1/2 hours ago and i'm not hungry or thinking of food, I think training your mind to think of food as just a source of energy that your body needs and not as an emotional crutch is half of the battle. When you find yourself routing through the cupboard ask yourself, am I really hungry? More often than not you wont be. Instead have a glass of water or squash that will fill you up and you wont even want to eat. 3lbs a week is what I am hoping for, that would mean almost a stone a month which would be fantastic
  15. Did anybody attempt to watch the first airing at 5.30am uk time? I'm reading that there were a few problems:irked:
  16. You are now my role model if I could lose anything near 50lbs in 6 months I would be ecstactic!
  17. Wow really? How long has it taken you to lose that much?
  18. The use of meal replacement supplements are a viable and well used option, used by athletes as well as people just wanting to lose weight and are not a 'fad' for gullible people. If something works for someone whats the problem? The FACT is that I for one will find managing my diet a lot easier using a supplement be it for a few weeks, months or years and I am certainly not gullible.
  19. Forgive me for saying it, but that is a very arrogant view topped off with the at the end. I'm guessing you've never had weight problems huh:roll:
  20. Every scotsman I have ever met has despised England, literally hated them, which I dont really understand. I'm Welsh and dont really have anything againt them, I dont follow their every move but the World Cup would hold very little interest for me if there wasnt a British represenation of some sort, be it England, Scotland, Ireland or Wales. This whole support anyone that is playing England thing is baffling to me.
  21. Good luck with the gym, that is without doubt the single greatest way to do lose weight, improve mood and just health in general. It's something you should do at least 3 times a week, so if you are doing it 3-4 times a week you will see the benefits in no time. I was attending a gym 3 + times a week for about 18 months up until about 3 years ago, I would be in there for about 90 mins a time I really enjoyed it, and I have never been in better shape but I just kind of fell out of of it mainly cos of the money involved. When I lose a stone or two I fully intend to get back into going most afternoons, but will be trying the council run activa gyms which you can pay around about
  22. A few reviews I have read online in the last half hour are from people who say it doesnt work, I guess some people are just made up differently, worth a try though! I've just ordered a tub of every flavour of it from Tesco
  23. It definitely is a habit, for years my mind has been thinking 'oo food' usually when i'm not doing anyhting, but when I stop myself and say am I actually hungry, the answer 9 times out of 10 is no. I've been quite disheartened reading online that you should lose 1LB a week, by that it would take me over a year! Cant wait to get my slimfast now, obviously it will still take a good few months but having a plan like slimfast is a great idea for me
